As much as it pains me because I can't stand Chelsea and wanted his transfer to stay as an embarrassing waste of money, Caicedo has to be in the Team of the Season for me, he's pretty much single handedly dragged Chelsea into contention for the Champions League and has been a 9/10 in nigh on every match I've seen him in.

Disagree. Chelsea are in champions league contention because of Cole Palmer's form in the first half a year which had them in a potential title race. Since his form fell away, Chelsea's form has fallen with them.

Caicedo is important for them, but he's Joelinton with better passing but worse attacking output.

Palmer's been rubbish since Christmas. I'm not sure you stay in contention for the Champions League for that long without someone else stepping up. He's been brilliant all season tbh, single handedly held them together.

Chelsea's form in the last 20 matches has them tenth in the league. That'll take them to around Christmas.

I love how he’s made up with Vieira but the mention of Shearer always has him rattled.

What he’s saying doesn’t even make sense. Yeah you can argue Shearer could be nasty, but Kane spent years dumping defenders on their necks, and we don’t even need to mention what Keane was like.

Aye nowt worse than sneaky violence, as opposed to in your face deliberately trying to hurt and intimidate opponents violence, thats the stuff of real hero's.

He doesn't like Shearer because Shearer embarrassed him in front of the country.

From last year:

Keane also revealed Haaland wasn't the only rival player that got under his skin during matches.

"Was I going around for years thinking, I'm going to get him, I'm going to get him'? No. Was he at the back of my mind? Of course, he was. Like Rob Lee was, like David Batty was, like Alan Shearer was, like Dennis Wise was, like Patrick Vieira was. All these players were at the back of my mind. 'If I get a chance, I'm going to f**kin' hit you.'"

Is this some kind of parallel universe? One of the most aggressive, horrible and violent players of my generation. Moaning about Shearer for some ‘sneaky’ elbows.

How do people manage to watch or listen to that cunt. If someone disagrees, he responds and argues back like a child. Gets all sarcy, rolls his eyes and does a silly voice to try and mock the other person

Im one of the few people that doesn't mind Roy Keane most of the time but hes one of those blokes who has skewed morals about what is and isnt acceptable.

In my world violence isnt acceptable in almost all circumstances, in Roy's world its fine provided you are "honest" about it.

He went about the pitch looking for fights with fellow professionals and then calls out those who fought back.

We all know this is about him looking like an idiot at SJP. The rest is noise.

Aye it seems so. You see the mask slip sometimes and it's good craic most of the time. I don't mind Keane generally but I think in this specific case (getting done by Al) he's still a bit het up.

They all are; the whole pundit/podcast game is performative at least to some extent, it's just the nature of the industry. Everyone's an exaggerated version of themselves, some moreso than others, but the likes of him and Micah Richards are the A-listers where that is concerned. Then you've got the TalkSport class which is a whole other ball game.

Fwiw I don't have an issue with it necessarily; you just have to take a lot of it with a pinch of salt.
