He is such an annoying c*nt - he is the worst example of the sort of manager the modern Premiership can produce. He will do a job of keeping clubs in the league and desperate owners/chairmen will always give him a job and he will preserve their asset and won't let them down. The football will be horrifically functional and physical. But the fact that he's managed in the Premiership for so long has given him some sort of delusion  that he is able to work at a higher level and it is utter crap. Pulis is cast in the same mould imo.

amazing how he accuses wenger of having the press in his pocket while listening to the sunday suppliment podcast and they were all saying ah its just sam wanting to wind people up rather than calling his statement that he would win a double per season the utter self delusion it is

He really thinks he's done a stellar job at Blackburn, but really they haven't exceeded any expectations in any way shape or form. 5pts from 5 games, 14th in the league, and the way he's mouthing off you'd think they were top, but in his mind they are, as Blackburn are only there because they are holding him back, and its not his fault and can do no more.

Blackburn survived a relegation battle and it was down to him playing for tight wins at home and parking the bus away. He's done alright in the transfer market, a lot better than what he done here, but really nothing spectacular.

He's mainly just pissed off the takeover fell through, he thought he was going to get £100m to spunk on his team and put them in Europe while advertising himself for the england job in 2 years; problem is it would be the negative, boring & over the midfield football which for relegation battles is great, but for anything more would be humped over by skill and attacking play, and the reason he very rarely wins away from home.

He's a boring, egotistical knobhead who could have done a good job here if he were to play attacking football and apply all the shit he's good at to it, but he was too stubborn and too set in his ways to take a risk, it's easy for him to say he never got a chance but deep down he knows he did and that chance ended because of too many mistakes, mainly in the transfer market and the way he approached games at home. He's a Chairman's dream for bottom clubs of the division, while a knight on a white horse for medium clubs finding themselves in a relegation battle, but anyone wanting to make the step up and in to a top 8 club they'd never touch the like of Sam Allardyce and why he constantly finds the need to self promote at any opportunity, because for him hopefully some cunt out there is as stupid as Freddie Shepherd and is willing to give him another go at a club with the resources to do it.

would love to see how england fare in a major competition with Allardyce in charge.

probably tonked 6-0 in the first game by someone like czech republic which knocks the stuffing out of us, fluke a 1-1 draw from a long ball up field in the 2nd against cameroon, scrape a 0-0 draw in the 3rd against chile and go out on goal difference, with our top scorer being the veteran kevin davies with one goal

I actually want him to get the England job and he f***s up big time

He's not an international manager, he's a club manager, his whole ethos is set up for day-to-day management. Will never see him at England for that reason alone.

Brilliantly well said mate.  It's so funny as Sam had a great chance with us and he had money to spend.  What he served up was total shit and if he went to a big club and had money to spend I would wager he would be found out again.

Oh, it was all a bit of a joke apparently.

Or does really he mean that he wasn't expecting to get the universal response of 'fucking clown' he has for believing the voices in his head and letting them do one of his press conferences, so he's trying to back pedal to reclaim what little is left of his 'reputation'.
