AyeDubbleYoo
TBH, the time is coming where we'll have to admit that he's not that bad. A new CB is still needed mind.
LRD
That doesn't give a definitive picture though considering Williamson plays more matches by virtue of Taylor being a crock. Clean sheets are also a result of how the whole team is set up including the cover the midfielders offer to the CBs. Not taking away his recent good performances of course. Mr. Snrub
He's still fucking wank, man. Credit where it's due been decent the last 2 matches but it doesn't change anything.
Disco
His deficiencies usually come to the fore in games like the next couple when using the ball well and concentration are usually the key factors rather than holding position and defending stoutly. Yorkie
always had him as a half decent defender when being babysat. Babysat by whom? He's always been the boss alongside whoever he's played with. Don't really rate Williamson but he's always been the leader, from his very first game against Palace when he was technically on loan. Didn't we sign him out-right?

I think he is benefitting from having a competent footballer on both sides of him now, as well as Cabaye and Tiote playing better. He hasn't even had to hoof it much the last few weeks. The College Dropout
He and Mapou are great together.... funny what a great partnership can do even if the individuals are not top class. Yep. The problem with he and Colo is a lack of pace but Mapou helps out greatly in that regard. Problem with Mapou & Colo is a lack of aerial/physical strength, Willo covers that. Any partnership with Saylor involved brain farts and Willo is a steady eddie type. I'd keep this CB pairing for the near future. Right now if we where to push any CB it would be Saylor not Willo. Love Willo's style of leadership too. I was one who wanted Saylor to start if everyone was fit. Not now.

sempuki
We should get Michael Buffer to announce his name before each game! Really impressed with Williamson this season.
Ketsbaia
Mike has turned it around lately, very impressive work. He's easily ahead of Taylor for me and I guess Pardew has a nice dilemma for Norwich. Well done Mike

AlanSkÃrare
Squad player that we can happily rely on for a few games here and there. Extended runs in the team will expose him. Problem is he's not supposed to be replaced by Coloccini or Taylor, but someone more physical than Colo and less injury prone than Taylor.

Not so sure. I've been the biggest Mike hater going but you can't discount the fact that he could improve and/or work well with a new complimentary partner. Nobody would say he's suddenly great, but we might have to admit he's not as crap as we thought.

Benwell Lad
Was posted elsewhere, but evidently since promotion we've had 32 clean sheets, Williamson has been in the team for 22 of them, maybe he's not the abject weak link everyone thinks. He was shot away, totally lacking confidence and overplayed towards the end of last season. Rest of the time he's been a reliable stand in central defender and very good pro. He's not good enough to be a regular starter for a big team, but he can certainly do a job when called on.
aussiemag
We need a defender exactly like him, with more pace and more composure on the ball. I'd take Lescott for a few seasons.

Generally those types of defenders cost an arm and a leg. Even with just one of those attributes in addition to Williamson's own, you're looking at a good international defender. Mole_Toonfan
Don't rate Lescott at all, has the same issues Williamson has although is better obviously. Don't think he'd be an answer to our problems tbh, someone like Kaboul before he got injured would be nice but i wouldn't have a clue where to find that.
