He's nowhere near good enough for a mid table Championship side man Lascelles doesn't look an immediate improvement tbh. But i'm glad the Willo era is over. While Lascelles hasn't impressed at all, I think you're forgetting just how bad Williamson is. 6"3 defender whose main strength should be heading, but is weak as piss in the air, and cannot control a ball on the ground to save his life. Have a look at the clip of the defences they currently put out, watch some of their matches. Slower pace and a vastly lower quality throughout. Previously he's looked very ponderous, and that might still be his weakness, but it's another level entirely to say he's not better than Williamson.
