We should concentrate on our own game by keeping and passing the ball, instead of focussing on one player. He's good no doubt about it but we will end up causing ourselves problems.

Will they even play Moses tonight. Surely they cant afford to risk him getting a serious injury.

Someone mentioned earlier than they will want to play their best assets tonight, for them to get all the cash since administration occurred.

The principle should surely be to change as few players as possible! Pointless to move Jonas to RB when we could just bring in a young RB or defender to fill that role.

Let the players who are fit keep their positions... that's what I would do anyway.

            Harper

Tav  Kadar  Colo  Enrique

Rout  Nolan  Smith  Jonas

      Carroll  Loven

will win us the game. It's self-defeating to start moving our biggest attacking threats back. We might as well stick Loven at LB if that's the case.

Tamas Kadar is set to retain his place at centre-half, with Jonas Gutierrez expected to line up at right-back, the position he fills for the Argentinian national team.

NEWCASTLE (probable, 4-4-2): Harper; Gutierrez, Coloccini, Kadar, Enrique; Routledge, Smith, Nolan, Guthrie; Carroll, Lovenkrands.

From the Northern Echo

Jonas & Routledge down the right up agaisnt Moses should be decent.

It is all off if MW signs:

Hughton is set to field Tamas Kadar at right-back tonight if Williamson plays, with Fabricio Coloccini joining the Stoke-born new boy in the heart of defence and Jose Enrique taking his usual left-back slot.

He also doesn't deserve to be fucked about to several different positions because if he performs badly he'll be criticised for it, despite the fact he's a CM.

Here's a crazy idea - why don't we just play out RBs at RB, our LW at LW and our CMs at CM.

Defence has been our weakness recently, we've then lost two of them on the side of the oppositions best player. We have a guy who plays in that position for Argentina on occasion & our top assister to come back and replace him on a wing if needed.

Its hardly a strange idea really.

Maybe with two capable wingers we'd spend more time attacking than defending for a change & boss the game a little more, but its a gamble either way. Id prefer to see Guti & Rout on the wings though ina game against someone like palace.

Couldn't agree more,  Tav is the reserve team right back, play him in his normal position.  Don't make 3 or 4 changes to the team when its not necessary.  If he plays to his full potential he could stay there all season, the lad is a good player.

Williamson apparently signing on emergency loan, in order to make tonights game. Does that mean he's almost certain to start?

I'd include him in the starting 11, will give the team a boost having a debutant.

I think that's the intention, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to it.

More worried than i've been this season.

Notts Furriest not showing any sign of "hitting the wall" - quite the contrary. Going from strength to strength - WBA doing as they have done all season, and we seem to be slowing down, like Sunderland have - only they've done it more dramatically. Come to a stop and in reverse at top speed, actually ! ;)

A win is a MUST, otherwise the doubts will grow, panic may start to creep in etc.

So then, expected line up is;

                        Harper

Kadar        Colo        Williamson    Enrique

                                  Smith

                  Nolan

Routledge                                      Jonas

                                  Loven

                  Ameobi

Possibly with Routledge on bench and Guthrie on the right.
