TRC
Decent player when we needed him, but not good enough at this level. Bit out of the blue like.
Newcastle Fan
Its a shame really, he cleary has the abillty but just seemed to have switched off the minute we reached the premierleague, will tear the Championship apart..
Guest palnese
Need someone in asap.
Anderson
Surely this leaves us with only one senior out and out winger in Jonas? Strange.
afar
This is a crazy move if we have not got someone else coming in. Personally feel Routledge gets way too much stick here, and although never hit the heights of last season, he's been a valuable member of the squad, and a bit of pace we can bring on when late in games. Gotta hope there's other stuff going on.
gray
He's left in the same way he signed
madras
I like Routledge. Shame to see him loaned out, unless we're getting someone in......surely we are? I think it's more of a reaction to us getting Gosling back and Ben Arfa back very soon. Gosling will be mainly in CM and Ben Arfa will go LM/CAM imo. Which makes this utterly pointless if we aren't getting a RW. gosling played wide right at everton a few times i think, also would you have liked barton wide right at the start of the season ? agree that goslings long term position would be in the middle though. Colocho
I'm going to cry if we bring SWP in. Awful player. Can only assume the coaching staff are impressed with Gosling.

Guest Stephen927
Would be really fucking stupid if we haven't got another deal lined up to replace him.. Surely we have?
Guest
We've got Barton, Gosling & Jonas who can all play right-midfield. Not the end of the world tbh. Could do with a winger on loan though to cover until Ben Arfa & Lua Lua are fit again though since Jonas is the only natural left-sided midfielder. Dave
Good player IMO. Needs to be playing though. We need adequate cover now.
jdckelly
Would be really fucking stupid if we haven't got another deal lined up to replace him.. Surely we have? well...................
Guest MrSundlofer
Don't think Gosling is his replacement. Gosling has said we wants to play in central midfield and rather not at right back or right wing. And if we aren't bringing someone else in, this transfer is unnecessary - we need a large squad. EthiGeordie
why sending him on loan?
Anderson
Surely this leaves us with only one senior out and out winger in Jonas? Strange. Hatem. I've always thought of him playing a role similar to VdV at Spurs. Even so, if Barton or Jonas pick up an injury before he's back we've no cover bar youngsters. stozo
Out of his depth at this level but was fantastic in the Championship. Really hope we have got somebody lined up as we will need cover on the right.
Dave
Ben Arfa is probably two months away btw.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'll reserve judgement until the end of the window, but if we don't bring in another wide midfield player it's stupid to let Routledge go.

Weznufc
taraabt from QPR's representitives seen in newcastle ! apparently 3million including add on fees with routledge heading to QPR on loan till end of season with a view to permanent deal found this on sky sports rumors. prolly wrong tho
Anderson
If it wasn't for the lack of cover I'd be happy with a loan move, gives him another 6 month to regain form and confidence in a title topping team allowing us to re-asses the situation when he returns.
