No Quotes so prob bollocks but seems a bit extreme to go from the odd role on the bench in the championship to 'regular starts' in the premier league. Would think he'd do better in Spain than in England though, very technical/non-physical player.

If he's really this amazing wonder kid as all the hype is saying then surely he's good enough to start games in the Premiership regardless of whether he played this season? Mick
He's been injured this season though. If he's really this amazing wonder kid as all the hype is saying then surely he's good enough to start games in the Premiership regardless of whether he played this season? He can split a defence with one pass on a regular basis, not many at the club can do that.
Belfast Boy
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him break through, sounds like just the type of player we need. Who would he most be like? Is he definitely a midfielder or does he have a bit of Pedro about him? (I wish)
TRon
Would anyone here take Carew? On his way out from Villa apparently (or well, according to the media so it's probably bullshit, but whatever, the question still stands) with Fulham and Spurs chasing him. He's a good player but we already have a plethora of big powerful target men. It would make more sense to target an alternative to Lovenkrands I would have thought. Unless we are planning on getting two brand new top central midfielders I really don't think we should be looking to play 4-4-2 next season imo. Therefore we need a quality big man who is also fast and athletic and who can play alone up top for us. Carew is the sort we will need. Or we could buy those two central midfielders and build a proper side.

Thespence
From The Screws SWANSEA midfield ace Darren Pratley, 25, is being chased by Celtic, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle. London-born Pratley has been a key part of the Welsh club's play-off push. His form has impressed some of the sides above them in the Championship as they plan for a future in the Premier League next season. Spies watched the former Fulham trainee score in last week's win over Barnsley. MARLON HAREWOOD will ditch the Premier League for Turkey or Qatar in June. Galatasaray and Al-Sadd are in talks with the 30-year-old Aston Villa striker. Harewood, a free agent in the summer, has been offered a one-year extension to his present Villa deal but is unhappy with both the contract length and the hefty pay cut that comes with it. Injury and the form of Gabby Agbonlahor and John Carew have kept Harewood sidelined this season and saw him have a loan spell at Newcastle. Panathinaikos, Rangers and even former club West Ham have looked at Harewood this season. However, he is aware that he is being presented with the last major contract of his career and believes Al-Sadd and Galatasaray have already proved they keep faith in players over 30. He would join ex-Prem stars Harry Kewell, 31, and Lucas Neill, 32, at Galatasaray. FRAN MERIDA will quit Arsenal in the summer and move to Atletico Madrid. Merida, 20, who was dubbed the new Cesc Fabregas, has only made four Premier League appearances this season and is desperate to get his career back on track. Reports in Spain say he has already agreed a five-year deal with Atletico and will announce his move at the end of the season. Arsene Wenger was keen to keep Merida at the Emirates, but the Barcelona-born midfielder will be out of contract. And despite speculation over Fabregas' long-term future, Merida is not prepared to wait any longer for his chance at Arsenal. If he wants to join a club that has underachieved & overspent then we are in with a chance.
Village Idiot
Fran Mérida did very very well in his loan at Real Sociedad (Segunda División, but still). Word is that he is an Atlético fan though, so don't think you can compete.
Guest sicko2ndbest
I would be happy with: O Hara (4mil) Joe Ledley (free) Cameron Jerome (6mil) Dindane (free?) KP Boeteng (3mil) James Perch (2mil) Zayatte (2mil) That would leave Harper/Krul/Forster Perch/Simpson..........Colo/Tayls/Williamson/Zayate...........Jose/Ledley Rout/Dindane..............Barton/Smith/Guthrie/KPB/Nolan/Vukic.......Jonas/OHara ....................................Carroll/Jerome/Loven/Shola.................................... Heavy in the middle of the park but think KPB would give us legs and lungs for an outlay of 17mil

Segun Oluwaniyi
I'm personally very much against the idea of paying any kind of money for Zayatte. Below average player. Any random defender from a lower level team in France could do as well as him.
Cajun
Was bored so looking through some skysports stuff, didn't realise Nugent had scored 12 goals in the league this year from 17 starts (and 13 sub appearances), not a bad return in a poor side. Guest
Roberto Soldado linked with Blackburn today for £8m. Now I'd happily spend half the budget on a striker like that.

Yes, infact he crossed my mind the other day, think he'd have the attributes to play well In the Prem. We could a lot worse than raiding Getafe for him and Albin.
