no offence, but this has nothing to do with sunderland because any team in the WORLD could've won this match. this is all about chelsea's dramatic  collapse. decimated by injuries, in poor form, a subs bench resembling a school trip......they never looked bothered. if they cared, they'd have won this. when you take off malouda after 55 minutes, theres something seriously wrong there.

Sorry but you sound like a mackem whenever Newcastle win.

Still 3-0 at Stamford Bridge is a great result, especially for a side who to me have very few quality players.

I suppose Sunderland 'got lucky' as in Chelsea are unlikely to turn up and play so abysmally for a long, long time, but they played perfectly today. This result doesn't make me think Sunderland are a good team but they were more than worthy of that scoreline.

From BBC Text:

From Mackem Stu, on text: "A quick poll around pub in Sunderland - would you swap this possible win with a draw against Newcastle three weeks ago? Answer was a resounding 'yes' - almost bewilderment here with this performance."

Y'know... We keep talking about how bent getting injured would f*** them.  Be careful what you wish for, because it could actually save them.  It would force Bruce to experiment with formations and maybe find something more reliable than this comfort zone 4-5-1 he's clinging onto for dear life, which at the moment gambles on Bent being on form and one of those hoofs coming off.  Even when it's worked, it's looked less than convincing.  Some of our best tactics and pairings have come from necessity, a line up we've gone for because of injuries or because of needing to tailor our squad around the best players we have available and then going "Wait a sec, we're onto something here."

An out of form but fully fit Bent leading to the continuation of Bruce playing 5 in midfield, when his midfeild is pretty f***ing gash and he should be playing as few of them as possible, with much of their talent on the bench because they don't fit in around the undroppable one, could be preferable to a spell on the sidelines for Mr Benty.

:sadnod:

Worst Chelsea performance since Roman came over, but Sunderland were superb. Could have ended 5-0 and against 10-men and Chelsea couldn't have had any arguments.
