Neil
"The likes of Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle" So what? Not actually Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle? Aye - not actually us you and Spurs, but in fact, err, Premier League equivalents of these teams?
Colocho
Skysports.com understands a host of English sides are tracking FC Copenhagen defender Mathias Jorgensen. The likes of Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle are all thought to be admirers of Jorgensen having watched him in action recently. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_6923151,00.html Good player. The type of CB we need alongside Colo.
AyeDubbleYoo
Most generic statement ever. Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle must be the 3 most used clubs when it comes to a "these clubs are thought to be interested" line. I'm sick of that shit to be honest... the idea that people can make a living writing this bollocks is insane.
nufcmichael
Jørgensen is overrated imo and not better than Taylor or Williamson... We should sign Oscar Wendt on a free instead...
Skirge
We want another CB, would love Samba he is wasted at Blackburn.
AyeDubbleYoo
We want another CB, would love Samba he is wasted at Blackburn. Samba is an absolute monster like, if we could sign him it would be incredible. Saying that, I've got a feeling Wenger or Ferguson will be on the phone. Colocho
Should be at the top of Arsenal's list of potential signings tbh.

I'm sick of that s*** to be honest... the idea that people can make a living writing this bollocks is insane. The press is all the same imo. They've got quotas to fill so they need to churn out shit if they can't actually go out and find something interesting. That's just the nature of the occupation. The temptation to just make shit up is greater in sports journalism obviously, since football clubs won't beat the shit out of you like the government or major corporations will. Fenham Mag
Should be at the top of Arsenal's list of potential signings tbh. Yeh, apparently they are after Huth. It wouldn't surprise me if Huth to Arsenal , Samba to Stoke happened, with once again Arsene getting the raw end of the deal.

Guest
If Samba or Hangeland leave their clubs it'll only be for a top 6 club imo.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
If Samba or Hangeland leave their clubs it'll only be for a top 6 club imo. I'd play under Mussolini if it meant not having to play football for Blackburn fuckin Rovers.... Hideous.
Dave
If Samba or Hangeland leave their clubs it'll only be for a top 6 club imo. Wonder if we could convince them we're trying to be one.
Oakie Doke
Samba alongside Colo would be worthy.
Guest
True but realistically we're not going to be threatening the top 4 for a while like those 6 clubs. Wouldn't be much of a step up coming here unless we offer crazy wages which we won't.

Would be kind of useless to not try at least, but hay, why try when you can just give up and not risk looking like a loser club? everyone (i've seen) is putting "football reasons" at the top of the list as why we might not tempt them, when in reality we wouldn't likely be willing to pay them a significant enough upgrade on their $'s to make such a risky move at this point in both their careers
Guest Loven11
STEPHEN WARNOCK is understood to be interesting Newcastle United. The Magpies are also continuing to monitor the situation of Malaga’s La Liga hotshot Jose Salomon Rondon, with the Venezuela international looking odds on to quit the Spanish outfit this summer after a superb campaign. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/05/10/nufc-eyeing-aston-villa-s-stephen-warnock-72703-28666354/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Pilko
Warnock, if going cheap, would be a steady signing. Rondon would be absolutely fucking superb.
Guest BooBoo
Warnock is exactly the sort of calibre of players that I expect us to be looking at, ie highly mediocre-yet-cheap. Rondon, know nowt about him but signing a young spanish striker? Hmmm, we've been there before.
ponsaelius
But he isn't Spanish so there is NO RISK AT ALL.

Rondon isn't spanish. havent seen him play much, what do the forum la liga nerds think about him?
