JH
Has anyone mentioned in this thread ever joined the team? Page three, post 70: Cabaye looks a good player when I've seen him. Central midfielder. Sure we were linked with him in The Chronicle recently as well so might be something in that one.

Guest Heneage
Would Rangers not touch Kris Boyd these days? I heard Celtic were considering him like.
JH
Got bored at page 13. Stopped looking after I saw an article linking Carroll with Stoke for £5m + James Beattie

thenige
Steven Fletcher has easily been the best import from the SPL in ages. Thought someone would say that, but he never set the SPL alight at all at the time. He's done well though. Always had far more raw ability and more to his game than people like Boyd though. Nobody ever touched that fat moocher with a bargepole until Boro fell into the trap. Dunno man, the difference in goal record is pretty substantial. Goal record means nowt. FLetcher was a bairn for most of those games and not playing for the best team in the league, he was always more talented and Prem scouts watching him for a while. Boyd was a fat waste of space who scored tap ins against L1 standard opposition. Great in the SPL, nee use whatsoever in a league where you have to actually be able to play football. Boyd was the same when he was younger, also had a better goal record when he was at Kilmarnock methinks. Didn't always just score tap-ins, although he does now. He's scored some belters. Remember watching this - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7666869.stm I agree that he is no use in the prem though. Have to say the defending in that clip is laughable. Also Boyd is turboshit.

ShearMagic
Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin has ruled out selling Olivier Giroud to Newcastle United after claiming the club are 'too small' for the striker. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7398742/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Wilson
"Given that he still has more than two years left on his contract, he'll cost a lot more, either €50m (£41.7m) or €60m (£50m)."
Si
We should re-sign Carroll again, make him good and regain his previous form then let Stoke have him for 30 mill.

Nobody
Ba is banging them in = we don't need another striker in the minds of Ashley and Llambias. Pathetic. Watch Pardew complain about Ba being away for the ACoN when we fail to score in January/February.

Dr Venkman
No surprise, we all know our transfer policy is based on getting a good deal above the needs of the team. That said I'd be satisfied with a centre half and a left back, a good attacking winger would be nice as well.
AlanSkÃrare
fucking shit. Why not go for it with this season starting so well?
Unbelievable
Not the end of the world. I'm fairly happy with our centre forward options. Centre back and full back absolutely need to be strengthened though, and another winger would be good too. Here's hoping we go all out for somebody to partner Ba next summer.
