Ameritoon
Yeah, I get it, probably took that a bit too literal.
nufc4eva
I like him and thought he played well enough yesterday, but he didn't always do his job properly. Completely lost Lampard for that chance in the first half, and I thought he should have been a lot closer to Mata for the goal too. He's a useful squad player who I'd want to play against Spurs, but when Southampton come to SJP, I'd much rather Anita was there instead. This, he wasn't picking up enough, I thought he was bang average and would throw Tiote straight back in tbh - alternatively I would drop Anita in there

Ishmael
Seems to be an outcast in that photo. Might be misleading though.

To even have the conversation whether Tiote should replace him would've been hilarious couple of years ago. Mind Tiotes form has something to do with it too. I think it's mental now to have that conversation. Perch is a decent squad player but is nowhere near as good as Tiote imho. Yes Tiote has struggled this season but is still effective at breaking up play, I think Tiote will flourish with Cabaye back, Sissokho in the team and Debuchy. He used to hold onto the ball to long and I believe it was partly due to a lack of options to pass to such as Jonas, Simpson, Williamson etc
Pata
Tiote will be good again and replace Perch. That doesn't affect my love for Perch.
timeEd32
Don't want to knock him too much as he's a great servant, but he's at least partially at fault for both goals. Tiote provides a much greater presence in the middle.
durhamunigeordie
Time for him to step back into being a bit part player I think.
Lotus
Shouldn't have started ahead of Anita today. He'll dropped for next game anyway.

biggs
looked like he wasnt arsed when that free kick went in. pitiful 4 the freekick never moved and yet the player beside him jumped when it went directly over perch
Guest palnese
I like him, but he should never start ahead of Anita or Tiote again.
Mick
He's good to have in reserve but should only start due to others being rested or injured, he's still a valuable squad member and I feel guilty when I have a go at him.

Ronaldo
Anita's made out to be something he's not on here. Should've been Tiote starting anyway.

Dr Colossus
For a moment, in my just-woke-up state, I thought you meant 'why didn't he just jump into that tackle on Bale, break his ankle and make sure he doesn't score the winner'. Then I remembered.

Guest Dontooner
After observing the last 10 games where Perch played in the midfield, he seems to be player that ticks us along the most as the holding midfielder. Think it comes down to perch understanding Pardew's Tactics the best, Very underrated player. He has improved to the point where personally i think he is just as effective in our midfield than Anita or Tiote. He seems to bring a balance in the team for me. He has won me over .. Deuce
I'm hoping his performance at CB is more Perch vs. Liverpool 2011/12 than Perch vs. Arsenal 2012/13. Well done Jimmy.
