The Marseille CM either knows MA is a twat & is trying to wind him up to buy or hasn't a clue that his actions are likely to tempt MA to play the big I am. Ben Arfa is clearly a loon and & if he signs is likely to cause trouble/ use us to try & get a bigger club. MA is a self important oaf who will gamble millions for the thrill of the moment and therein lies our best hope for this deal. If it's a case of investing in the club MA is rarely forthcoming (yes I know he's put millions in but he's also been miserly where it really matters - on the pitch) if it's a case of calling him out it'll be no surprise if he shows how high he can piss - just for the thrill of the moment.
