Obviously in the eyes of some fanboys every time he steps on the pitch he will be epic, amazing, class etc. He was such things at Wigan, against Arsenal ... the list goes on. Thought he tracked back for Rooney a few times and closed Nani down on the wing for a force a mistake etc. Agree he's played better, but you could put that down to worse opposition than tonight too. In other games he plays higher up and gets his stamp on games with quick passing etc today he just couldn't do that. The one club out of the top 5 or 6 that really need him are Arsenal. If Wenger wants to prove that he hasn't got premature senile dementure he needs to stick in a £20m bid in the summer and see how it goes. Redknapp might be a spacker but he was one of the first to recognise Carroll's value early this season and we have since sold him for £35m. He was putting a £15m price tag on Tiote tonight.
