Guest neesy111
Shola and NUFC need a break from each other.
r0cafella
Jobs for the boys is exactly what we need to get away from. It's precisely why we're in this mess. Aye can't believe people are advocating this, this is how we ended up with Pardew, woodman and the likes
Varadi
From all the players we own he's our top scorer in 2014 - surely deserves a new contract....
Cajun
Jobs for the boys is exactly what we need to get away from. It's precisely why we're in this mess. What we need to get away from is shit stereotyping. "Jobs for the boys" I know his stock couldn't be much lower but I don't remember Carver getting as much stick under SBR. I also remember his re-appointment being lauded by the majority. "Shit footballer so couldn't possibly teach anything" as mentioned before, look at some of the top managers around the world. Then look at some of the horrific managers who were very good players.

midds
Shola may well go on to be an excellent coach but I'd like someone else to take a chance on him to prove it one way or the other. I'd much prefer to hire coaches who have already proven they're quite good at it. How likely that is to happen is another issue entirely.
Guest neesy111
I propose to make Gosling our midfield coach, seems a nice guy.
KaKa
If we had a god manager who already had a good technical staff, then sure you can let someone like Ameobi cut his teeth with the club. We have a dodgy manager and backroom staff, who likely only want Shola around because he backs them in the dressing room. No thanks!

dilligaf
Shola as a coach? he cant even motivate himself
Ronaldo
What could Shola actually teach anyone? If he does have anything to teach why hasn't he applied it to his own game? Why hasn't Beardsley? He was an absolute genius as a footballer. Because you can't teach what Pedro could do. It comes with talent, natural intelligence and years of practice. toontownman
Shola as a coach? he cant even motivate himself At least it would be all big grins at the training ground and on the pitch..especially when we are losing 0-3 every week.
Peppe
Of course he wanted to keep him Pardew you fucking ding dong!
Tiotes Witch Doctor
One of his only friends in the dressing room apparently along with Gozza and Elliot so he will definitely want to keep him. Probably for 75% of that very reason.
Guest chopey
Pardew got screwed over last year with the Pearch deal and he wont let that happen again......................unless it does and then he will
colinmk
I wouldn't trust anyone at the club at the moment to appoint a good coach. Need an actual manager first to decide that before just handing out coaching contracts to the likes of Shola.

Tiresias
The board may be ignoring Pardew's requests because they are going to sack him at end of season. Fingers crossed.
Wullie
The board may be ignoring Pardew's requests because they are going to sack him at end of season. Fingers crossed. They did the same with Perch last year. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Tiresias
I have an image now of the board crowding round a computer looking at emails coming in from pardew sniggering "HE WANTS TO KEEP SHOLA" "AHAHAHAHAHAA" "tell him only if he says more stupid crap to the press about science"

I am sure the players have as much hope as we do that Ashley would sack Pardew.

Jordan
Feel for them. It's nice to know a whole nation can now feel the despair a city has had to for the last 14 years.
