Flip
Might be the reason for Pardew hugging him. Saying he was happy Jonas gave him 110% of pure crapness.

joeyt
I bet Pards counts his cross that led to Cabaye's goal as an assist, justifying why he'll continue to play him
alexf
It's the miss controls that go straight out of play on a regular basis that is annoying me the most. Basics Jonas come on man.
MKSC
I've always liked Jonas but he's been poor this season. Doesn't seem to have the energy he used to. You could always count on him to hold the ball in a tricky situation, maybe buy a free kick or something, but lately he just seems to give it away all the time. I'd like to see Marv in for him against Chelsea if he's fit.
ATB
Of course you can´t hate a player because most of them gives 100 %. But professional football players isn´t about who give there best effort and that´s what is so shocking to me to read when so many seems to think so. I don´t hate Jonas because I know he gives his best, but he should never, never, never, never be a starter again. When he still does that though you eventually start to get frustrated and then you start to take it out on the player. That is what has happened here and against many other players. AyeDubbleYoo
His time as a valuable player is coming to an end now. Pardew shouldn't rely on him as much as he does, and hopefully he won't when Marveaux and Tiote are available.
duo
Was Pardew defintely planning to drop him? I think he was planning on playing him in Midfield and just moved him up field when Marv got injured. He loves the player. But the team is carrying him - adds nothing. S.S.R.
Can't believe this guy is only 29. Plays like he's on his last legs.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
utterly rank tonight. Really thought he was going to gan pure akka at Weimann and get himself sent off.
Varadi
Really, really poor tonight - looks like his confidence is shot to pieces, even basic passing and control seems beyond him. Desperately needs a break from first team action.
SAK
Can't control the ball when he receives it and keeps knocking it out of play. Adds no value to the team.
Guest firetotheworks
That dummy he did was class. You know the one. The one that he did on himself.
Cajun
Can't believe this guy is only 29. Plays like he's on his last legs. I was going to say that, did he have some horrendous injuries before he came here? He should have a good 3 years in him at least!
Mattoon
What has happened to him? Shadow of his former self, not fit to lace the boots of 11/12 Jonas!?! It's not his fault Pards keeps playing him for 90mins and it's a shame that a player who has shown us such great skill, passion and commitment in the past is going out this way. Ronaldo
Worst Ive ever seen him tonight. I actually think tonight was average for this season. He's got away with murder for ages imo.
Kanj
I really like the man himself, a fantastic positive character. As a footballer, he's lost everything that made him good. Happy for him to come off the bench in the final 10-15 minutes but other than that....
Spider Jerusalem
Can we send him to San Lorenzo? They'll pay us a fee to keep him. Finishing a match, well yet another match, with him and Shola on the field
timeEd32
Started poorly, had some decent moments, and then was dreadful. On two or three occasions he failed to control a ball an 8 year-old would have no problems with.
GuyP
I love Jonas but as a player he kinda looks finished. Maybe if he had a month of rest, just to condition himself back up, we could see. In a relegation battle though, he should not be starting. If rumours are true that Marvs was gonna start ahead of him then fairplay, but its almost a bit sad seeing Jonas this year. For a while he has changed his game from attacking winger to more of a box to box/defensive winger, providing cover. This year however he has been doing it badly, but then again, how many players have played as well as last year? Love the guy, but needs a rest really! 29 ffs
