Decky
Man City - Out Liverpool - Out Chelsea - Out Spurs - Out Still Arse and Man Utd there, but if we got 1 at SJP in the next round we could probably take them as they would surely rest players. Should we go for the cup? What I mean by that is, should we start more first team players instead of resting them for the league games? Big opportunity to win a cup here, we have been in situations like this before of course and lost, but if people want a cup run this seems perfect! A lot of people probably wont want to risk our first team playing in case of injury/suspension. What do you reckon?
Guest Slarth
I think we should go out for it, however with the same side that played tonight.

Guest neesy111
Yes, it's a bloody cup competition and there is a good chance now of progressing to at leas the 1/4's if we don't meet ManUSA or Arsenal.
Mick
We've played two games with almost the same team, they've got this far so let them carry on.
Nobody
I think we should go out for it, however with the same side that played tonight. This. They absolutely deserve to play the rest of the cup after tonights performance.
The Prophet
Nah, Arsenal away nailed on in the next round. In all seriousness though I think the lads that did the buisness tonight deserve a another bash.
LucaAltieri
Like any real Newcastle fan, I'd prefer the FA cup. This one would do, mind.
cp40
So after Man U, we are the Best side still in? (loosley based on current league table)
M4
Tricky one to balance this... If we were to get either of ManU or Arsenal given they will be playing subs/reserves, yes I think we should put out a very strong team.
Fenham Mag
Hoping for Northampton in the next round at home and then after play our best 11 whoever we come up against.
Decky
If you don't then seriously, why bother? You'd be surprised. A lot of fans see this cup as a waste of time.

Dave
I'd rather win a throw-in in the third round of the FA Cup and eventually lose 4-3 than win the League Cup 1-0.

Neil
I'd rather win a throw-in in the third round of the FA Cup and eventually lose 4-3 than win the League Cup 1-0. After all, an extra League Cup game or 2 will result in INSTANT BROKEN LEGS of Ben Arfa, Carroll, Tiote and Barton. And Williamson. And Coloccini will get a really bad cold. Guest jonnyameobi
why would we not be trying to win it?
binnsy
how strong was Villa's team tonight? i think they will be going for it and Birmingham but ideally we'll get a home tie against Northampton and if we get to the quarters then we should really go for it.
