Bad Mongo
Evidently, Mike Ashley took Steve Bruce's words about the club lacking class to heart, and found Chris Hughton to be an intolerable exception.
EthiGeordie
Deserved so much better. Did a fantastic job to get us promoted. Easily our best Manager since Sir Bobby. 100% agree. Me 200% agree

Guest daveaha
Whatever we say here won't change a thing. Thanks Hughton for 6-0 Villa. 5-1 Mackem. 0-1 Everton. 0-1 Arsenal. And the superb Championship season... All the best for you....
ponsaelius
Statistically our most successful manager ever. An absolute gent and I thank him for everything he has done for this club. Good luck to the man, deserves better than this shithouse of a football club and the crooks in charge.
nobby_solano
thanks chris. you took the job no one wanted and made a real go of it, got us promoted as champions, and in the premier league humiliated sunderland, beat arsenal away, hammered villa and got a point from the champions. you've dealt with 'difficult' players and got the best out of them, you turned a bunch of players after the deserters left into 'a team'. you battled a shitstorm in the press every transfer window and in the summer. you and your team restored a bit of pride back to newcastle united last season you are a gentleman, and have shown the highest of dignity in the face of adversity in your time here. best wishes for the future chris, i know you'll do well, shame the wallopers running the club couldn't. they've stabbed you in the back, after all you've done for the club. it absolutely stinks. thenige
Absolute shambles. So so unbelievable sad for Hughton. Haven't felt this physically sick about football since Sir Bobby got the boot. Go get a better job under a better chairman. Good luck to you Chris.
Yorkie
Thanks for everything Chris. I'm gonna miss having him as our manager. Can't believe we've sacked him. Just can't believe it.
Fried Chicken
f***ing disgusting. The man got us promoted and had us on 19 points at this stage of the season which all of us would have took in a heart beat. C/S
quayside
A truly decent man who came in at a horrendous time in the club's history and restored some sanity and pride. We won't forget any of that. He's walking out of here with a far better reputation and a much higher profile than he's ever had before. I hope he gets the job he deserves at another club. ChrisMcQuillan
Aside from Sir Bobby, I can't think of any manager in the world I've taken to with the same level of respect. Whoever he goes to next will become my second team, hell, maybe even my first team depending on how crazy things get over the next few days.
Minhosa
You deserved so much better Chris. Huge dignity shown through all of the shite you've probably had to deal with behind the scenes and you've done yourself and your reputation nothing but good. Best Wishes. The Prophet
When you took over we were a shambles, a mess, relegation candidates according to some. However you took a squad in disarray and emphatically led to us back to the big time with some memorable moments along the way. For the first time in years a Newcastle squad had belief, togetherness and determination, a loss was never for the want of trying. A season later we sit 11th in the Premier League following memorable victories against Villa, Sunderland and Arsenal despite being among the favourites for the drop you turned us from no hopers into believers. Thank you Chris Hughton, your time in efforts are much appreciated and your spell in charge will never be forgotten. Best of luck for the rest of your career.
