You lot are being harsh on Lovenkrands, I reckon.

He's not been that bad.

The guy needs 30 chances before he takes one, as being proved today.

Shola and Guttierez have missed chances too. Should we substitute all three at once? Lovenkrands hasnt been that bad.

If Neesy had his way Jonas would be taken out back and shot.

I agree but at least he's got himself in those positions today which is more than what we've seen from him in any other game this season.

To demand him to be subbed off is canny harsh.

People write off anything good the lad's done, because it's Lovenkrands. He's done quite well IMO. He looks rusty and maybe not high on confidence because he hasn't played an awful lot, but he's linked up well at times.

Simpson has been excellent.

which is a good thing, because he had an awful opening few minutes. Glad he's recovered and looked really up for it since. Linking well with Barton too

Put the ball on Shola's head with a perfect cross at the start. Not sure when he was awful.

Seriously, though, how the fuck did this shower of shite nearly beat us a few months back?

N'Zogbia.

Amazing how much better Barton is on the right, and it's not like he just stays out there either. Gets involved everywhere from that position, but still gets himself out wide often enought o deliver some deadly crosses. Invaluable player.

Defensively he looked really shaky after Wigan found their feet. Around the time he got booked iirc. Has been faultless since.

First 5 seconds, ball bounced off his foot for a throw in

shows you don't need loads of pace to be an effective wideman and that intelligent use of the ball is far more valuable
