Disco
Hear me now, it's just not fair to have a pop at this modern day Derek Acorah like this.
ikri
Let me tell you, I think he says 'let me tell you' more than 'look' or 'listen'. All he needs to do now is throw in the occasional "stop" and he'll have a new career as the Green Cross Code man.
sempuki
Radio 5 interviewed Ruud Gullit this afternoon and asked him if would return. Sounds like he would. If Carver didn't relegate us, he certainly would.
Interpolic
Erm, that doesn't sound like a good idea. One of the best players of all time but a fucking shite manager.
Mick
Erm, that doesn't sound like a good idea. One of the best players of all time but a f***ing s**** manager. I love listening to him talk about football, it's just a pity he couldn't carry his good points into management.
Ronaldo
Gullit's a brilliant football mind and a honourable man. Like Keegan he wants his football to be played a certain way, which unfortunately was totally at odds with the playing staff of late 90s NUFC. The decision to sack him was obviously completely vindicated by who we replaced him with.

Clearly has quite a bright footballing mind but can't see past his own ego and translate that to management. Different styles like but when you listen to either of them talk you'd think they'd be good managers.

An honourable man as you say, even if he tried to ostracise our 2 best players.

Didn't he only resign because it repudiated his contact, as he didn't want paying off?

I'm sure his contract meant he could resign and still get a pay-off and he said he didn't want anything.
Guest YonderStar
And here's me thinking that Gullitt resigned after Big Dunc threatened to rip his head off.
Deuce
Any of our American posters stayed here? http://www.johncarverinn.com/ Named after this daft cunt I guess: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carver_%28Mayflower_passenger%29 Wor John's not even the most famous John Carver to have graced the shores of North America. LV
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/04/newcastle-united-john-carver-sunderland-lee-cattermole?CMP=share_btn_tw I'd normally be concerned that he'd spill our gameplan to Clattermole in a situation like that given he was likely pissed. Then I remembered we don't have any tactics or a gameplan.
Dave
He's scared of Lee Cattermole 'getting on the ball and dictating things'. Just let that sink in.

Interpolic
He's scared of Lee Cattermole 'getting on the ball and dictating things'. Just let that sink in. Cattermole's basically marginally more talented than Vinnie Jones was, and the monkey in a tracksuit that sits in our dugout is cacking himself. What a fucking drip.
