Yep, there might be and there might not be. He's covered all bases Ryder style.

I'd be more surprised if it hasn't happened. We've all seen the way he goes on in public, offering fans out, the Williamson quotes, him being more passionate than anyone of his players. He can't take pressure, he can't take criticism, he hasn't the brain cells or communication skills to be a manager, all he has is aggression and the ability to lose it all of the time.

It's not if its when a player hits him or he hits a player. I just hope he swung at someone and they're floored him for his efforts.

Possible press release coming from #nufc soon regarding Carver and a bust up with the players leading to his sacking.

dream for Ashley right there, no payoff required...stone will be pushed into the managers job until he breaks, then woodman, then we might get a proper manager and coaching staff

Well we know straight away it is bullshit because there are no press left the club will release anything to. Except that SportsDirect news  :frantic:

Tearing into him on sunday supplement.

Also saying McClaren could be in by lunchtime. Though this is just a rumour.

What did they say?

That they can never remember a manager previously making such a 'slanderous' claim against one of his own players, how the dressing rooms obviously lost, how Carver "being a fan" is all he goes on about and its not good enough. Be interesting to see how Williamson feels today, etc.

About McClaren - just that he may be appointed today so god knows.

Cheers. The financial ramifications for Ashley of turfing Carver et al out and replacing them pales in comparison to the ££££££ lost if we go down. Ashley is utterly clueless though so fuck knows what will happen.

It isn't cause the coaching staff are on peanuts.

Couldn't imagine any of the players having the balls to stand up to him tbh. Doesn't seem to be much speculation about a sacking on SSN, I think they'd be all over it if it was gonna happen. Got a feeling we're stuck with him, hope I'm wrong though

Well it's lunch time. Hurry up.

That feeling is starting to settle, that same one I had after Pards' headbutt that HAD to be the final straw but the hours just kept ticking by :)

Soon we'll go with 'it's Sunday then Bank Holiday and they can't do anything until the financial markets open', out of desperation.

Can't see Steve McClaren coming in for the last three games. Too many obstacles. John Carver still Newcastle head coach, as it stands. #nufc

Starting to believe this is the case. Down we go.

Probably down to him wanting his own backroom staff but ashley wants him to work with the three wise monkeys.

The absurdity of this is that there is no comparison between the cost of relegation and getting rid of the current coaching staff.

Ashley's a gambler. He'll take the risk to save the smaller cash sum and count it as a gain.

Pardew was reported to one of the lowest paid managers in the Premier League and indeed the Championship when he was here so you can't imagine the coaching staff will be on that much.  I am sure that Pardew's compensation would be more or less enough to pay all three off.

But Ashley never looks ahead - it is always about the balance sheet in the here and now - and never speculates (even moderately) to accumulate.  False economy as always.
