I don't think the players can gel in that quick enough to perform this season. If Spurs cannot get a 4th spot again they are fucked. Huge test for AVB. Used to absolutely hate them even just a few years ago. If they stay away from any of our players that I want to keep like Ben Arfa then I could tolerate them doing well and getting top 4 this season. It's not as if they don't have it available, or don't have a real need to spend. It's actually shaping up to be a real battle at the top of the league, because a couple of specific injuries can screw everything up. Just look at City at the back without Kompany. Chelsea look like being dour but effective, but Man U are very reliant on RVP, and we'd struggle bigtime if Soldado got injured.
