f***ing infuriating yesterday. Had everyone lined up to attack the back post and he never got past the front post.

Free kicks the same.

It makes you wonder why we never put anybody on the front to flick it on.

His corners are f***ing terrible. Have been all season.

Yet him and Demba do some sort of code before with their arms like an X. Stop in and just smack them in there. We were sound when Barton took them. If Ryan Taylor plays I don't see why he shouldn't take em.

Tbf, they were fine in the first half of last season (well until Carroll left really).

We had a kind of routine going, usually aimed to Williamson at the backpost and across into the path of Nolan or Carroll. Second half of the season, absolutely dire. In fact all of his set pieces.

We were never going to threatening from corners yesterday. Santon didn't even go up half the time did he? and he was the tallest out there, along with probably Jonas. No excuse for hitting the first man though.

Is the nearpost thing not some kind of routine? We scored at Wolves by putting it there.

Barton's corners were generally poor, I think people are re-writing history here. The routine every single time was to hit Williamson at the back post or put it into the general area for Carroll to try and make the most of. Sure you're getting them into the box but how many times did we get anything out of them? Considering the number he/we had we didn't get that much, and once Carroll went they dried up completely.

It's a shit routine then, as there's no B+W within about 5 yards

Just had a look of our goals from last season. So after Carroll left, the only game when Barton's corners led to goals was the Birmingham game at home (well one of the corners eventually resulted in a penalty).
