NG32
The kind of player you need when the game is "claggy" with no movement, can spot the tiniest of spaces for a pass.

ponsaelius
Great the way lots of the players went to him. Game-winning pass.
Guest firetotheworks
I'm sick of how wonderfully average he is. Doesn't assist either.
durhamunigeordie
Him and Hatem are the only two that can, as Pards has put it before, 'unlock' the door in that way. Yohan can get us on the counter and plays lovely through balls from deep, Sissoko runs like an ox with the ball at his feet and those two have that magic touch in and around the box. Would be great if we could always incorporate one of the pair into the side.
Guest palnese
I think Pardew's biggest problem is that he can't find a position for Marveaux where he can utilize his qualities.
Cajun
I think Pardew's biggest problem is that he can't find a position for Marveaux where he can utilize his qualities. I don't think there is a position without dropping a better player tbf.
themanupstairs
Needs to start instead of that shithouse Guti. Big time. Gutierrez is akin to a closing pitcher in baseball, who could come on to help see out a winning result in the last few minutes. Nothing more at all. Home or away, derby or not, he should not start matches for us when the little gem that is Marveaux is available.

He could do a very good job in the AM role, but I don't want to move Sissoko out wide or into a deeper role.

I don't mind seeing Sissoko wide every now and then, the middle part of the pitch gets a bit too cramped for him at times.
Gallowgate Toon
Should be starting matches like today, best option we have out wide currently (bar Gouffran), despite not being a wide man.
JH
Absolutely has to be on the pitch in the absence of Ben Arfa IMO. Central is his best position, but he's still a better option out wide than a "Jonas out wide".
S.S.R.
For the amount of minutes he's played for us, he's won us a few points. Rather have him on the pitch that some of the 'grafters' with no end product. Imagine if he had Obertan's speed?
Lotus
Bit of movement around him and he's a different player. Funnily enough, for the goal our movement was poor but a Stoke player broke the line to close Marveaux down and he just threaded the ball through the space that had opened up. Still if we were a team with some decent movement in it he'd come to the fore.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
Credit where it's due, he played well and set up the winner with his cameo off the bench. He needs to keep doing that, especially when he starts a game. One assist doesn't mean those previous mediocre performances didn't happen. I want him to succeed, it's up to him to put the performances in every game he plays.

Mistle17
He needs to start. Fed up with him being benched all the time.
Wullie
Against the likes of Stoke who sit so deep that vision is more useful than pace, we should be looking to drop Sissoko deeper instead of Tiote and play Marveaux at the tip of the midfield. This is the kind of tactical nous I wish Pardew had, pumping balls into the box wasn't going to work, Stoke are all tall and physical (plus begovic was more than happy to come out for them) and were happy to defend that. Mick
The pass for Cisse to score from was the pass of the game and one we'd needed all game.
