Guest bimpy474
Did well but i didn't like his non effort at getting back when he lost the ball right near the end. Simpson gets stick for it and so should Marv. I like Marv a lot by the way and think he should play. I wasn't impressed by that. If you lose it at least make an attempt to get it back. Maybe that's what's stopping him get a starting position in the team? Could be but that doesn't stop Simpson always playing does it. Just read my post 2 up, sums up Pardew if you ask me. Gallowgate Toon
He should have started really, I prefer him in a middle 3 in general but I think he'd have done a lot more damage instead of Jonas out wide.
Skirge
Pards is starting Jonas in instead of Marveaux because of Premier League experience & defensive work, IMO he should be played as part of a front three. Matv Benny and Ba.

Maybe that's what's stopping him get a starting position in the team? He got dumped on his arse by yaya. Then looked to be in abit of pain and then someone played into to him when he didnt expect it and lost it. Seemed to be hobbling from the knock he just got and was still hobbling back i noticed from the resulting corner. Not defending him by any means but do think that knock he got played a small part in him not tracking back. Still no excuse though unless it's a serious injury which it obviously wasn't. Skeletor
Made the difference once again. I don't want to hear Pardew moan he has no creativity in his team when he's leaving Marveaux out.

Ronaldo
Wouldn't say he was the difference, but he's obviously a better footballer than the idiot he replaced.
Geordie Ahmed
He is comfortably better than Jonas so he should be in the team
Ishmael
Well he did make the difference because he was obviously the only player we had in our squad capable of showing that much composure and technique on the edge of QPR's area to play Shola in. Yorkie
I don't think he's a great player, but you've got to wonder what the hell he's got to do to start a game now and again.

Ketsbaia
Pardew needs to admit defeat here, Marveaux is a really good player. Even he must see that now.

Kanj
Start this lad ffs. Cool as fuck on the ball, kept thinking he would have done so much better on nearly everything Jonas was fucking up.

Love the idea that he's furiously trying to find ways to keep excluding him. Pardew's got a pretty negative approach to games, he won't put players like Marveaux on the pitch until he's convinced the opposition is no threat (or we're desperate). He did the same thing with Ben Arfa for ages, before he was convinced by Ben Arfa's defensive workrate. Tbf that worked out quite well.
Guest
Thought he had buried that chance at the end. Really hope to see him start from now on, absolutely no reason to go back to Jonas.

With that approach you scrape wins, suppose this is why we dont score more than 2 very often

Newcastle Fan
The only fit midfielder in our squad right now who has an idea of what to do with the ball when he gets it. the fact that he's not starting and Jonas is pisses me off, good assist today.
