Ronaldo
Anyone defending him might want to watch all 22 goals we've conceded this season and tell me which of them aren't at least partially related to him being slow of foot, slow of brain or just plain cowardly. We deserve to go down for not replacing him.

Nobody
Look on the bright side. We won't have the useless, slow past it pathetic excuse for a centre back in our team for the next three games. Hopefully never again and he can take the apology of a manager with him. Just a 1 game ban for that.
magpie1892
It was a massive problem 3 years ago. Now it should rule him out of any Premier League involvement. You'd think so, wouldn't you? Nah, not at this club. He'll be here in the first eleven until his contract is up so we get our "value for money" Still 19/20 months to run on the contract extension for a player who was knacked three years ago? We might have even bought a new player with those wages, but Ashley probably sanctioned the extension out of spite.

Mick
Extending his contract was madness, his career is only heading in one direction and he's only going to get worse. I don't think the penalty or sending off were justified but he's not good enough to play 90 minutes.

ExiledGeordie
Complete liability who should've been moved on but as per usual we decided against buying someone decent to fill the position.

Exactly. It's fucking madness. Coloccini's spent the last couple of seasons (at least) looking ludicrously vulnerable against even the poorest of strikers. Something like this is always on the verge of happening with him such are his physical deficiencies

Ketsbaia
Cannot stand Colo but that was never a red card, probably not a pen. He's a prick but this was all about the referee.
Big Geordie
We've all known that Colo has been on the wane for some time. Another brilliant choice by the regime to always pick the cheaper option.
Elliottman
We've all known that Colo has been on the wane for some time. Another brilliant choice by the regime to always pick the cheaper option. But he was fine and it wasnt a pen so I dont see the point.
Wullie
Elliott's more to blame than Coloccini for that situation. Really pitiful goalkeeping.
Guest chopey
I think Dummetts poor performance at left back today was a good audition for him to move to the centre.

BONTEMPI
I think Dummetts poor performance at left back today was a good audition for him to move to the centre. He's been totally crap every time he's been at left back so why the fuck do they persist with playing him there.
Disco
With Wijnaldum wanting to cut in all the time and Dummett being unable to do anything other than pass the ball to a centre back it pretty much means we can only attack down the right which is a bit of hinderance really. So aye, he'd probably move him central too.

Mattoon
I think it's fair to say that if Colo had been replaced by a semi-decent defender then this situation wouldn't have arisen as Fletcher would have been outrun and we'll covered. However that doesn't detract from the fact he was treated harshly by the referee for a shoulder to shoulder challenge.
The College Dropout
The situation came about because Colo and Elliot are so slow. That's their fault. Penalty. Red card. Very harsh imo but only happened because of the first problem.
