Fabricio Coloccini (now retired)

I heard it came from Williamson.

Llambias tried to give him a wage rise, he panicked, tried to give it to Simpson but he backed off, looked for Santon but he was nowhere to be seen and so Coloccini was left to pick up the pieces and take it himself.

Great player, but he's doing too much. He needs stop cover the flanks and leaving Williamson exposed, he isn't good enough to be left on his own. Would love to see him in a competent back four, would be awesome.

He's been moving out wide a lot all season, whether it be with Taylor or Williamson. It worked quite well because unlike most centre backs, he defends quite well out there. He's also not the greatest in the air or when the ball's played behind him, so we're making the best of him.

We've already seen him alongside an in form Taylor and we had the best defence in the league (or nigh on, statistically anyway).

Yeah. Speaks volumes. Taylor probably was in his best form until his injury.

Cant see us signing a top class CB in the summer and moving Taylor to the bench though.

It worked wheb Taylor was in the centre, no surprise there.

To be honest, if Taylor can get fit and recapture his early season form i'd be well happy with him and colo next season.

He didn't look too bad, hopefully he came off as a precaution.

Hope so. Looked like he was running quite freely at the very end of the half.
