Ginola
Raylor is a massive liability A few good free kicks have disguised that from a few people though.

Ishmael
People missing the point here. Ryan Taylor is not perfect for us at left back, but it makes more sense not to rush Santon into a game. Not the end of the world either way of course. oldtype
Just because you played Russian Roulette 3 times and didn't die doesn't mean it's a good idea to try it again. This doesn't work because there is no absolute certainty about Raylor costing us a game - or even killing us It's not impossible to survive a game of Russian Roulette either. Depends upon the variation of the rules in use? Anyway, it's a silly metaphor for this. Know what you're trying to do, but he's nowhere near as much a liability as you're implying. He is man. He's a fucking calamity waiting to happen at right back, never mind left back. Just look back to the relegation season. He managed to go 4 matches without dropping a clanger and scored a couple goals on the way, credit to him, but the sooner this state of affairs is over the better. eliassenfredrik
Yes! Really hopes he starts. He should play as much as possible, and throwing him to the wolves straight away is exactly what needs to be done.
Guest bimpy474
Are we talking about The Deer Hunter or the Revels advert now ?
Tooj
Raylor is a massive liability A few good free kicks have disguised that from a few people though. The problem is, so is Simpson as far as I'm concerned.
Guest Dontooner
Aye easing him in to prevent injuries is a more valid point. Seen tons of foreign players not used to the tempo forcing themselves into long/short injuries ( Ben ,Luque more comes to mind)

Colocho
Don't see why Santon wouldn't start? Imagine he'll come on in the 68th minute.
biggs
Santon should start regardless imho ,if he is fit why not as he can keep an eye on poison dwarf and if he tires put Raylor on or Simpson .
Ryan_Taylor
We didn't have a LB, we bought one. Surely he has to start...

James
We didn't have a LB, we bought one who is young, right footed, never played in this league before and just got back from international duty. Surely he has to appear from the bench.
Revolution Number 9
I'd be much happier if he started like.
SimplyAnth
Bit of a redundant debate, if Santon is ready to start I think he will as he is the better player. Only Pardew knows how he has adjusted to training etc. and if he is prepared to start a tricky away game.
BottledDog
I'd be much happier if he started like. I'd obviously like to see him start, but if in the little training he's had with us it's deemed he's not quite there yet and doesn't, I can't see why anyone would have a problem with that. Good luck Davide.
Guest VaVaVoom
Got to start tonight. Simple really. Its just where and who to drop. Fwiw i reckon Simpson could be the one to be left out.

Keefaz
If Santon is going to be play better than Raylor, than I'd play him. Otherwise I'd play Raylor.

Hoy him in
Guest Haris Vuckic
I'd had a dream we won 2-0 and for some reason Santon scored! How very readytogo!
