It's working - when has Ashley ever felt the need to speak to Sky before?

This is his last gasp attempt to quell the momentum. Don't let him.

timing is weird really, you'd have thought it would have been better done yesterday if he was trying to quell the atmosphere, i think if people here about it now full of the drink it's only going to make it worse

It's only going to anger people a bit more. Abuse directed at him too is another likely outcome. Idiot cunt hat he is.

The fat man is rattled, keep up the pressure people!

Unprecedented stuff today.

Gotta say I'm surprised he's made a statement.

Anywhere online i can hear this yet?

It was just David Craig talking about what Ashley had told him. There was no actual televised interview with Ashley

Honestly at this point I'm  confident that Ashley owns the club purely to make the fans as miserable as possible to get back at us for wanting him out after Keegan walked.

nufc is just a tiny part of his larger business empire and he can afford to run the club to the ground for purely vindictive reasons.

If anything the protests against Pardew probably made him want to sack him even less.  Making the Geordies angry is exactly what he wants from a manager.

If making the Geordies angry is what he wants then Pardew needs to be sacked judging by today.
