I think they might nick a point in one of their other two games, like, but obviously that won't be enough. They needed to win today to realistically qualify. Yup, 3 points tonight and I think we could have nicked a point from the last two. As it stands now we just have to make sure we give Spain and Italy good games. Yorkie Posted June 10, 2012 Share Posted June 10, 2012 It's easy to say Croatia deserved the victory, and if the blatant foul on Keane inside the box had never happened, that would definitely be the case. In reality, Ireland were well and truly shanked there and can feel hard done by. Croatia are the better footballing side but if Ireland score there, with at least another 20 to go, the complexion of the game completely changes. I was dreading they could at least mount a decent tight deep defence and try to outmuscle us on set pieces and the like to give us trouble, but they didn't even seem capable of that tonight.
