54 Posted 1 hour ago Share Posted 1 hour ago Not to defend the Premier League, but from what I remember (and this is from an article about 6 months back so may be wrong) the reason it's taking so long and why it's not as easy to integrate into our game compared to others is due to the way Nike design the ball, which means the chip that the Champions League ball has implanted (Adidas manufacture) can't be used. So they're having to create an entirely new system that they had to go out to tender for. Given Nike are being replaced with Puma from next season anyway, I'm not sure why they don't just wait and get the system integrated correctly.
