Will probably pass without much of a mention given a) it went in our favour and b) doesn't look like it will have much of an influence on the tie unfortunately.

But VAR stopping the game for nearly 5 mimutes to rule out the Man City goal last night was honking. I'd be absolutely livid if that went against us.

Allowing their players to kick the fuck out of Hall and constantly foul him whenever he was about to drive forwards without waving cards was the worst thing. So they kept doing it, shock horror.

Saw a very good point made earlier about where the 5cm tolerance was last night on their disallowed goal

Not a chance Haaland was further offside than Wirtz was a couple weeks ago.

I assume because the 5cm is related to the semi-automated and the reason it took so long is because it wasn't working

He was more than 5cm behind Pope.

That O'Reilly is a dirty little twat as well. His elbow definitely went in the way of Brunos face during a 50/50. Surprised but not Surprised VAR didn't intervene.

A huge weakness of VAR is that they can't intervene for yellow card events.  If the referee misses a foul that's outside the box or doesn't meet the threshold for serious foulplay (and a red card) it just gets ignored.

Yeah agree, but it looked serious enough to me for VAR to get involved. I wish I could remember when the foul was. Definitely the first half though.

I'd like to see a rule brought in that says an attacker can only get a foul at a set piece if during the phase they don't have their hands on their opponent, otherwise it's a foul against the defender even if it's mutual. The state of corners at the moment. Like I wasn't after Semenyo's goal being ruled out for offside but fuck me, Haaland is grabbing Thiaw who responds in kind.

The wenger offside just moved the line didn’t it?

Yes, but in favour of the attacker as it gives more of a window to be "ahead" of the defender.

After last night’s soft as fuck shocker in the Spurs game. I was worried that they might get VAR to look at Bruno’s. Proper Euro league reffing.

No way he meant it. But it was more of a red than the Dortmund one, I thought.

What was the check for when the ref went to the screen? Didn't look anything live.

It was to check if Wissa was offside

Think it was if Wissa was interfering with play by being offside and blocking a defender (he wasn't)
