Why won't PARDEW DROP SIMPSON??

You'll have to ask him that?

We should probably ask you though since you seem to know everything.

I know that Ben Arfa isn't as good as the majority on here think he is, yes.

If he was, he wouldn't be playing for us.

The fact is, if he'd been given as long a run of starts as Obertan has, and THEN showed himself to be lazy/ineffective etc etc then we could at least make a fair judgement. He hasn't, so we can't. Pardew was more than willing to stick with Obertan for about 15 Premier League starts in a row despite getting fuck all out of him, what's the difference?

Funny how he managed to post from an Australian IP all the way through the Blackburn game. A blatant liar who hasn't seen what he claims to have and therefore not worth talking to. How sad.

Oops.

I didn't even know I posted during that game tbf? My laptop always uses my home IP address even when I'm away though I've discovered, might have something to do with the proxy thing I use?

(but no, I didn't go, obviously) - although I've seen extensive highlights of it.

Shearmagic,

Unfortunately with some people on here he can not do anything wrong.

If he plays well - OMG he is the best player ever

If he plays bad - Its all Pardew's fault, it was the tactics, it was the other 10 players, he's not fit, pardew has mismanaged him, he forgot to have his weatabix this morning, he did nothing wrong and its not his fault.

Its getting to the point where as soon as someone says anything negative about him they get jumped on.

:idiot2:

Great reply, would read again.

answer my quote then, your statement is s**** and you obviously don't like Ben Arfa. No need to spill it over into your bias ridden posts. No one claims he's a god and he's had poor games, but it's blindingly obvious what he brings to us when he plays. Howay,

I obviously don't like Ben Arfa? based on what? Its not as though i have a season ticket so been to every game and watched him when he has been involved either from the start or off the bench and formed my own opinion on him through watching him or owt.

Fwiw i want Ben Arfa to succeed here, would love to play a 4-3-1-2 with Ben Arfa in a free role behind Cisse & Ba but still think he has a long way to go before before he becomes the legend he already seems to be on this forum

I actually agree with all of this. I still don't tink Hatem has been as ineffective as people are making out though. He's been equally as effective as Ryan Taylor and / or Obertan in an tacking sense. Ryan Taylor has contributed most in a defensive sense. Hatem is the most talented of the three though. I don't think anyone can actually 100% wholeheartedly disagree with that.

Yeah but people are suggesting that we play a player that has little or no defensive abilities in front of Danny Simpson, who himself has little or no defensive abilities.

Sounds like a solid idea...

In front of Simpson...I don't think anyone suggested that.

Anyways, I'm on your side to a degree, I hate this whole bumming of Ben Arfa when some of our less able players get slaughtered even though they've been equally as important this season. It's wrong that any Newcastle player comes on and gets ridiculed or moaned at before they even do owt wrong. The ones yesterday for Hatem were more of a frustration at the team than him, mind.

Nevertheless, Ben Arfa isn't and hasn't been s***, he just hasn't been as effective as he may have been if he had been given more game time and / or starts.

Well, I haven't been meaning to come across on the side of 'Ben Arfa' has been/is s***.

He has been very poor in some games, invisible in others and brilliant at times in others, but it's not consistent enough and he doesn't deserve to be an automatic selection.

I don't think he's an automatic selection like 99% of the idiots on here, and I'm able to see when he does things wrong and what his weaknesses are, again, something that apparently 99% of the idiots on here aren't able to do.

He's also not the next Maradona, which apparently most people think he is. He has weaknesses, many of them.

Fair dues.

For me Ben Arfa should get more starts, especially now we're safe, and we should utilize him in the hole behind the stikers in a free role, and go at teams. Santon should be RB and Raylor LB with simpson as cover. Play Cabaye, Tiote and Jonas across the middle.

My main issue is that people have big go at ryan Taylor and it's totally uncalled for, even more so than it is the likes of yourself criticisng Hatem. It's irritating me that so many people have jumped on your case too and 'ganged up' on you if you like. Not enough people on here, for me, give their opinions because they're frightened of being shot down, and as for the rest, they only post when they know they're in the majority.

It will never happen under Pardew and he will continue undermine the player so he can carry on with his robot football unmolested.

Extensive highlights. They don't exist mate.

You've included Forest and Blackburn CC in your list too. You can't have seen them either.

Listened to them both on the radio, going off what the commentators said.

The 'extensive' highlights were on NUFCTV, still went for about 10 minutes or so, so it was long enough to make a decision either way.

But yeah Sewelly, it would cost about that - because I've done it before ;)

I don't know, but I posted somewhere 2 weeks ago from interstate and it showed up as the same IP address as usual, I'm not an expert on how those things work.

He needs an extended run in the team. Something he has never had. More than 10 starts in a row would do the trick.

It reminds me of Sturridge a couple of seasons ago at Chelsea. He would only get 10-15 minutes at the end of games occasionally; and in these games he showed ability, but was always (even more than he does now) shooting from miles away or trying to take too many people on. HBA just needs a run of starts and to be told he should play his natural game rather than just to try and do everything by himself.

Unfortunately under Pardew he will never get that chance, and we will never play with the football that will get the best out of him.
