Crumpy Gunt
Pulled, not torn hamstring. The lesser of two evils.
LiquidAK
Pulled, not torn hamstring. The lesser of two evils. Any chance whatsoever he could play the Wigan game in less than 2 weeks? Fuck it, I already know the answer.

Guest bimpy474
did he not get injured while being challenged? Aye, he stretched to poke a ball forward, sort of in a challenge, not a heavy one though.
LiquidAK
Just said on Radio Newcastle that he felt it no pull or tear just a bit tight. fingers crossed... God, please. I have to see this man play. He's the only fucking reason I'm even looking forward to it anymore.
Big Geordie
Can only hope he's not injured too bad, because we are fucked without him. Next to Cabaye, our only creative player and the only one of the two that has performed consistently this season.
toondra
cabaye in our 4 4 2 system plays too deep to be creative for me, he is the most "long ball" player with krul and williamson...
taxfree
Out against Southampton. Doubt against Stoke.
Fenham Mag
Hatem Ben Arfa will miss Sunday's trip to Southampton in the Premier League with a hamstring injury, manager Alan Pardew has confirmed. The French international hobbled off shortly before half-time on Thursday night as Newcastle recorded a 1-1 Europa League draw with Maritimo. Having been one of their brightest sparks this term, the loss of Ben Arfa is a big blow to United's impact in the final third of the pitch. But while he is ruled out of a trip to the South Coast this weekend, Pardew is confident that the playmaker will not sidelined long-term. "It's a hamstring problem, so it will definitely keep him out on Sunday, and probably next week. I don't know from then on," explained the boss. Pata
Lovely timing. With all the internatinal breaks he gets injured when we have three league matches in a week.

Lush Vlad
These 'winnable' games we have running up to the horrible festive period are going well Colo missing , Cabaye out til the new year, HBA missing 2-3 games minimum. We've just lost our only creative force in the team. Nice.
AyeDubbleYoo
Said at the time his injury didn't look bad. It was cold and the game was basically under control, hopefully he just came off to avoid aggravating it.

Yorkie
It's absolutely shit news, obviously. But, just to clutch at straws, in a way a rest might benefit him. He's burned out after some blistering form earlier in the season (though i'd put that down to tactical deployment more than anything).
Guest hatem garrincha
He was getting better and better in the number 10 role yesterday, 10 minutes before his injury (after a timid start) It's a shame really.

He's burned out after some blistering form earlier in the season (though i'd put that down to tactical deployment more than anything). it's straws as well but it might see a few of the other so called purple players take a bit more responsibility too while he's out instead of relying on HBA to do everything.
