StrandedX02
So many fans love him. Spoke to a Liverpool, an Arsenal and a Spurs fan last Friday. All said he's the player you'd pay most to see in the whole league. On my way into the bar to watch the match here in Boston, there happened to be a Villa fan standing out front. He was scared to death of Benny. Can only imagine what he was like afterward...he left with about 10 min to go.
Guest firetotheworks
Ed Chamberlain: So what do you make of Ben Arfa? Carragher: ehhhh he was linked to Liverpool of the summer wasnt he? Bit more than that like Fwiw he said that you could tell that he was special when they played against Marsielle and that when he played Newcastle, the emphasis defensively was to stop HBA. Also made a point about how they backed off because of his ability and paid the price. Neville spoke about how when we finished 5th it was because of our front three and how they were devastating on the break. He then said that that's what we need to get back to doing. Not really insightful for us, but correct all the same.

aussiemag
i think he can have a real break out season, much like Bale and Suarez did last season. He needs to stay injury free and keep his current form up.
Elliottman
He's not even at full tilt yet either, more to come from him for sure.
NEEJ
You've just got to love the bloke. He's mental, but in the most positive of ways. Imagine if he played every game this season?
AlanSkÃrare
If he keeps getting into the positions he got into at Villa, scoring the goal and then completley open when Cabaye fired wide - he'll get way more goals if we continue to play well. Was interesting to see him attack the box in that manner, haven't seen that before.

NUFC_Sam
Ben Arfa told France Football: “At 26 years old, I still have plenty of time in front of me. I am not about to describe my career prior to retirement. “I know some will again think that I am mad but I still dream for example of the Ballon d’Or. I am convinced that this is still possible. “It is forbidden to dream? I disappointed a lot of people over the past years, I have even annoyed many too, no doubt. But those people were right. I was not very professional. “I think I gradually changed as I have grown up. I have understood some basic stuff with regards to the strength that a community brings. “I still believe that one day I will be the best player in the world. But my biggest victory will not be that one. It will be of becoming a well-rounded man after overcoming so many obstacles.” http://tyneandwear.sky.com/newcastleunited/article/81892/newcastle-uniteds-hatem-ben-arfa-dreaming-of-balon-dor-win

nufc4eva
Hope he has a class season, love watching him play - although did think we should sell him if didn't get consistency. Have to credit Pardew, I think he has had an influence on him and managed him reasonably well from that point of view
