Guest icemanblue
Of course it is. Ignore all of the praise and hype he dishes out, on a regular basis. Speculation in a newspaper confirm that he wants to 'alienate' our best player, on the back of two sub-par performances.
BrettNUFC
Are people honestly believing Ben Arfa's going to be dropped?
Lotus
I do wish he'd look for a pass more often rather than (seemingly) always trying to take a player(s) on. Would make him more difficult to crowd out of a game.
BrettNUFC
Are people honestly believing Ben Arfa's going to be dropped? was he not "hauled" off at half time? And? Pardew thought he was giving Coleman/Mirralas a free ride down the right so switched things around. Cardiff don't possess the same sort of ability that Everton do down the flanks, he’s not getting dropped, it was a tactical change at half time which worked but to suggest because he didn’t think Ben Arfa was right for that game means he won’t be right for Cardiff is just naïve. Chrisjraby
Pardew dropping Ben Arfa would rival Gullit dropping Shearer in terms of idiocy; if it happens, with any luck, it'll end the same way it did for Gullit*! *as long as JFK doesn't take over! Varadi
HBA has been poor the last 2 games but he should still have more than enough credit in the bank to keep his place, hopefully the half time sub will have given him a bit of a kick up the arse. Was he right for Hull? In my opinion he's right for any game. Hull he just had a bad day at the office all around, against Everton i didn't think he was as bad as people make out but obviously Pardew felt Cabaye would give us more control in the game and we would tighten up without ben arfa, it worked for that 45 minutes but that doesn't mean to say that's what we will do from now on away. Ben Arfa is still crucial to our side and Pardew knows it, he'll be starting on Saturday.

OKAY DEN Are you serious here, like? Yes You really think that he's attempting to use Hatem as a scapegoat for the recent poor performances, with the end goal of having him on the bench. Presumably, this will be to allow his favourite player in the world, Jonas, to play instead?
BrettNUFC
He makes one tactical change at half time resulting in Ben Arfa coming off and suddenly he's bench warming Saturday when he's been an integral part of the first team whenever fully fit. Don't understand where people draw their conclusions from. 'Hatem Ben Arfa not good enough to start away to Cardiff', just say that over and over in your head, you will almost start laughing to yourself after a couple of times because it's utter nonsense. AyeDubbleYoo
I'll still wait to see what we actually do. Can't deny I'm really scared that Pardew will throw the baby out with the bathwater.

It seems exactly what he going to do imo. Jonas FFS. Well I don't really know what that means. The press are definitely pushing the line that there'll be major changes. I'll wait and see. BrettNUFC
Nothing new the press trying to put pressure on us and trying to create a bigger problem. Surprised they haven't ran a story about Ben Arfa on strike or summit or some huge bust up.

They're permanently kissing the club's arse for fear of being out in the cold again.

Come on man, you can at least admit its worrying. Rather than dismissing it completely out of hand Lee Ryder is a bellend. It's worrying for how bad our last couple of performances have been but to suggest our best player is getting dropped especially when he was probably man of the match in all our opening games, just can't see it at all. Think things are just getting stirred up.
Disco
Love watching a rigid 4-4-2 with no attacking threat on the flanks personally, you all whinge too much.

alexf
Pardew seems to have this thing though where he must change the whole team and formation after a loss. It's no surprise if he does, he famously did it after the 4:0 wigan, he didnit most recently after hull and probably again ror Cardiff,.
AyeDubbleYoo
The manner of the Everton goals is a shame, because it really seemed Pardew had hit on our best team before that. As you say though, it's very possible he will now fold and revert to type.

If you're stupid enough to take over a season to play the formation that everyone was screaming out for, then you're stupid enough to change it because you don't realise that it works. He tried every variation of players and formations without EVER playing the one that saw us to 5th. The man is just an inexcusable, talentless cunt.
