Zero Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 There is a serious lack of communication between the full backs and the central midfielders which forced the full backs with no option but to hoof it long. I am not criticizing Haris for this but obviously Cabaye did come back deep to take the ball forward which we are seriously lacking today. Tiote on the other hand is simply shocking, virtually non-existing both attacking and defending. Pardew has some shocking decisions, but I would say the players are equally at fault. Poor Tiote - 5 Lost possession more than he should, but thought he was better in second half and a bit unlucky not to have earned us a point at the end Vuckic - 7 Pretty great to be honest, very unfortunate not to have got 2 goals really Jonas - 5 Terrible at times, at others had some good moments going forwards Obertan - 6 Shola - 2 Obertan looked hungry and alright at times, Shola didn't do anything Best - 3 Ben arfa - 6 Best did one or two ok things but was anonymous, Ben Arfa was dangerous and promising but sadly couldn't do it all Ba - 9 Fantastic performance. They were so much better than us. Pardew's management is at this point nothing short of a joke. That bollocks about HBA lacking sharpness was exposed as the complete horseshit I suspected it was too. He just got it tactically wrong, and couldn't 'fess up. Instead he came out with that 'sharpness' shit. Tiote had a 'mare. Colo had his worst game of the season by a country mile (in very similar circumstances to last season's worst game - Bolton (a), where he had Smith and Nolan ahead of him. This time he had a woeful Tiote and Vuckic. Vuckic was great going forward but understandably raw at CM in the Premiership, didn't drop back enough to give the team options on the ball). Santon -6 Fuck knows why he went off Obertan - 5 Fuck all. Tiote 3- Kept losing the ball throughout the night. Almost got us a point towards the end though. Vuckic 7- Had to do the work of four tonight, did well Jonas - 5 Fuck all. Best - 4 Barely noticed him, and when I did, it wasn't pretty. Ba - 9 Two quality goals out of nothing. Though I was naturally delighted when we equalised and fancied a win, it would have been ridiculously harsh on West Brom and when they got the third I could only sigh and accept that it was what they deserved. Defensively we were shocking with tonight being Colo's worst game this season. One thing that annoyed me was inexplicably taking Santon off and putting Raylor on. Puzzling. Overall, poor tactics from Pardew, playing such a high defensive line and persisting with the direct approach. The amount of f***ing hoof-balls was f***ing annoying. There was absolutely no need for that. Vuckic was a positive today so it will be a shame to see him out of the team against Bolton but having Cabaye back is a big plus - it would save us from playing hoofball anyway.
