Dave
Probably worth a thread by now tbh. For anyone who's not been in the other thread, we've apparently had an initial bid of £500k turned down for the lad. By all accounts supremely talented, but a known troublemaker who's been in bother with the police and had attitude issues regarding training etc. Similar to another young player of ours... Thoughts? dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Love a player with potential, and if he's as good as people say anything south of £2 million is worth a risk. If he can sort himself out we've got a very very good player on our hands.
Parky
Yup. Might be a nutter but most nutters come highly skilled.
Sifu
Just posted this in the rumours thread: I'm still pretty undecided about Morrison. Though I guess if he is that good, then he may well be worth a gamble. But then again, there's always going to be questions about his attitude. I really don't want to see another Ranger situation. Hmmm. If he is going to cost less than a million then it's okay I suppose
Guest Heneage
Why not, provided he didn't spend time in the reserves. We've a few talented youngsters, and I'd like to see them used.
Merseyside Mag
Our very own Mario 'why is it always me' Ballotelli. Him and Ranger will get on like a house on fire, but lets hope not hey.
Parky
The kinds of money we're actully talking about it really is a no brainer if what they say about the lad is true.
Hanshithispantz
Certainly worth a punt if he's as good as they say. I would actually say we'd be fucking daft not to take him tbh, the risk is very, very low, unless him and Ranger end up slaughtering our whole squad of something. timeEd32
For anything under £1m I think it's a no-brainer.
maybe_next_year
would go for it for the small fee this guy would cost. given the talent this guy seems to have (judging by whats been said) it seems a risk worth taking.

Dave
Where does he play btw? Aside from just 'midfield'.
gbandit
Looks a player but we haven't got a great track record of straightening people out.Newcastle is a party city...I say no as like sewelly mentioned in another thread it might affect abeid and vuckic's development.two players I think are PL quality. If Morrison gets his head straight he has the potential to do very well tho. ponsaelius
Where does he play btw? Aside from just 'midfield'. Played CM against Palace, but I don't think he's got a defined position.
timeEd32
The articles I've seen describe him as a winger, but he looked to be playing more centrally in the highlights I've seen.
Dokko
Who? Apart from reading articles and playing fm has anyone seen play, especially at an appropriate level? (if we do go fir him) Hopefully he has a bit more about him than Ranger.
Ameritoon
Not entirely convinced by the idea, but if he's cheap and we're still able to bring another player in then I'll take it.
Guest Stephen927
If he is that good, why would Man United potentially sell him for peanuts?
AlanSkÃrare
MsiDouglas Mark Douglas Source close to Morrison reckons he needs move 'for his career; for his life'. Crossroads for wonder kid: #nufc convinced they can save him
binnsy
i'd say for under a million it is worth a go but do have slight concerns about his off field activities, especially with the off field distractions that Newcastle city centre has too offer. So easy to spend more time partying than concentrating on football.
Jagten
Pardew already has a grapple on one of the most lethal weapons going so im sure he will be fine......
Hanshithispantz
If he is that good, why would Man United potentially sell him for peanuts? Go for free at the end of the season apparently
Guest gggg
No idea because I've never seen him play. Man U youngsters tend to be overrated since the mid 90's. The fee seems to be nowt but we don't need another cunt like Dyer, Barton etc having an influence.
Dave
If he is that good, why would Man United potentially sell him for peanuts? Go for free at the end of the season apparently Doesn't really answer the underlying question mind.
johnnypd
seen him a few times and think he's a massive talent. attacking midfielder but i'd see him playing in a wider position for the first few years of his career until/if he matures enough.
