Punk77
The best rb in the Championship, young and out of contract. Strange if we're not after him. Prefer Deubuchy, but cannot complain if we're getting Clyne instead..
Guest bimpy474
Couple of million and looking at it in the most pessimistic way it makes no sense not to sign him. Would be very surprised if that value doesn't triple in the next couple of years. Admittedly I have only seen him a few times but he has looked brilliant, I work with a Palace fan who thinks he looks better than Ashley Cole at the ages they broke through (think they had him on loan?). WTF are we waiting for.... Crystal Palace fire sale promotion campaign? Hes out of contract... However because hes below the age of 21, Crystal Palace will receive a compensation fee judged by a tribunal. Isn't 21 anymore, its 23 now

Unlucky Luque
Would rather get a top quality Left-back and move Santon over. Don't know if Clyne will cut it against top European wingers. But still, need a bigger squad, and if he get's cranky at lack of games, we could always loan him out in jan or something.

Dinho lad
How much does the club owe Mike Ashley for that loan? 140 million quid was it? juniatmoko
sturridge tribunal fee was 6 mill so 5 mill tribunal fee is regular things. It does really amaze me how can we get plenty players below 5 mill actually...

Mole_Toonfan
Read somewhere, just recently, that Clyne would be subject to a tribunal fee which could get £5M Probably bollocks. I'll hunt it down, again. edit: First article I found was the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2146262/Nathaniel-Clyne-set-Newcastle-move.html But to be fair...it seems CP want £5M and we'd likely get him for £2M. Probs in the middle. They will get 2m and like it.

jdckelly
How can Palace get money for him if he is out of contract? they are entitled to compensation if he's under 23 I think for his development years (unless your moronic like Everton and forget to actually physically offer the contract)
Mole_Toonfan
How can Palace get money for him if he is out of contract? If he is 23 or under the club in question gets compensation fee usually decided by a tribunal..... same thing with Hoilett at Blackburn actually. Guest Rob 1988
Newcastle have offered between £500,000 and £1million for Gael Bigirimana in there local paper coventry telegraph http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2012/05/29/newcastle-united-move-is-too-soon-for-gael-bigirimana-says-andy-thorn-92746-31066305/ Newcastle United move is too soon for Gael Bigirimana, says Andy Thorn ANDY Thorn is hoping to keep hold of Gael Bigirimana after Coventry City received an approach from Newcastle United for the exciting young midfielder. The Premier League club are understood to have offered between £500,000 and £1million for the 18-year-old talent who they want to join their development squad at St James’ Park, similar to when Conor Thomas joined Liverpool 18-months ago. But Sky Blues boss Thorn insists the teenager is very much part of his plans and would be better off staying at the Ricoh Arena to play competitive league games rather than moving to such a big club at a tender age. “Gael’s a good talent but he’s still got a heck of a lot to learn and I’d be really disappointed if he left,” said Thorn, who clearly hopes that the Sky Blues’ board resist the temptation to cash in. The City boss, who joined the Magpies at 22 but left after just a season, added: “I was a young lad when I went to Newcastle. "They are a massive club and if you aren’t careful it eats you up if you go too soon, so you have to be very careful.” The Burundi-born midfielder was given his big break in City’s first team last season after graduating from the club’s Academy a year early, making 28 senior appearances and earning rave reviews for his passing ability and confidence on the ball. “He was given his chance last season and he did really well,” said Thorn. “Then, like most kids breaking through, he had a little dip and we looked after him by taking him out of the team to get him back on his game again. “He understood that and did that and he came back strong again, so it would be a real shame if we lost him now. “He’s in there and very much part of my plans and I’d love to see him continue his development with us. "I think it’s really important at his age that he’s playing competitive football. I’d love him to be part of it.” Bigirimana was linked with interest from Burnley in March when the Clarets were understood to have made an inquiry about taking him on loan. Thorn said at the time: “As far as I’m concerned there is no way Gael is leaving the club. "He’s part of our future here – we’ve nursed him through and he has to stay and develop with us. “We can’t be getting rid of our young boys and I’m sure that won’t happen.” Although the player is contracted to the club until June 2014, he will, no doubt, be taking advice from his agent and it remains to be seen whether the club will cash in on one of City’s brightest young players who won the Championship’s Apprentice of the Year award and has been on stand-by for England Under-19s

Guest Roger Kint
I agree with Andy Thorn tbh maybe we could buy him and loan him back? Would be a good move for both. Clearly he is a highly rated player and dropping down from Championship to reserves wont benefit him at all.

ryanegg
He's a talented lad, watched him a few times. I went school with a few of the younger lads from the squad, they always rave about him. Got his own barbers/salon in the town centre that his brother runs . Don't think he's near our first team level yet, but could do well with better players round him. Loan back is the best option I reckon.
Deuce
Might be good candidate for a sign and loan.
ATB
Might be good candidate for a sign and loan. Why don´t we every do a "sign and a loan" like every other proper "big club". As been said. This sounds like an ideal "sign and loan".
