nufc4eva
Bent is the new 'you know that idiot will start Williamson' and he hasn't even signed yet Mackems I speak to really rate Bent, just say he's greedy (money) and doesn't interact very well in build up (Already knew that). I suspect he would bang a few in and we would grow to hate his very existence within a short period of time
Disco
MANCHESTER City winger Scott Sinclair is interested in a move to Newcastle – but the 24-year-old could be out of United’s price range. The odds on Sinclair joining the club, previously 40/1, were yesterday slashed to 1/4 by one bookmaker. Pardew signed Sinclair on loan at Charlton, and the Gazette understands he is an admirer of the player, who can play on the left side of midfield or up front. He hardly played for City last season after a £6.2m from Swansea City, and is keen to play regular football next season. However, much would depend on City’s valuation of Sinclair, who started his career at Chelsea. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/manchester-city-star-sinclair-may-be-priced-out-of-newcastle-move-1-5836050

alexf
He only had one year left on his deal when he left Swansea so I expect we would have to pay more than that £6.2m. Plus the likelihood he is on silly wages at City.
sugoinufc
we should sign both sinclair and remy and stay away from bent.
AyeDubbleYoo
we should sign both sinclair and remy and stay away from bent. Would be my preference as well.
Mole_Toonfan
we should sign both sinclair and remy and stay away from bent. If the club want to buy all 3 and give the team decent depth for once I won't be complaining
arnonel
Loan with option to buy for sinclair would be great
LRD
It depends on whether Sinclair is given the all-clear for his blood clot in August. He can't play any contact sports til then as there's an increased risk of bleeding from the warfarin he takes. If he gets a recurrent episode, it could mean real problems to his career (may be on lifelong meds depending on his condition). As long as he is on anti-coagulants, he can't take to the pitch. His is a rare case called upper extremity deep vein thrombosis UEDVT). The common ones are usually in the lower extremities (legs) called DVT or the lungs (Pulmonary Embolism, dangerous). I see what I can dig out about UEDVT.

KaKa
Think we're after another out and out striker i.e. Bent, and then a wide forward i.e. Remy. Bent should hopefully then battle Cisse, and Remy and Gouffran can cover that wide forward role.
Barnes23
Can only see us signing one forward. Personally, I'd be happy with Remy as our only signing.

Barnes23
Pete Graves @PeteGravesSky 1h Summary. #QPR want Taylor. #NUFC want Remy. But swap deal at this stage unlikely. Tayls happy at SJP, and part of Pardew's plans.
Gallowgate Toon
QPR are in no position to negotiate, cheeky twats. They can't even afford Taylor anyway.
Dr Venkman
The overall sporting competition has now been made obsolete by money, so fans need to learn to enjoy every 90 minutes for its own sake. I agree wholeheartedly with this, and for me it's reason number 1 that managers like Pardew shouldn't be given the time of day. If the point is to enjoy match days, get a manager in who lets the team play football and see what happens.
BlueStar
Scott Andrew Sinclair (born 25 March 1989) is an English footballer, who plays for Premier League club Manchester City as a winger, having previously played for Bristol Rovers, Chelsea, Plymouth Argyle, Queens Park Rangers, Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace, Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic and Swansea City. If he keeps going at this rate he's going to be the answer to a lot of trivia questions by the time he retires.
Conjo
Think he could have been one of the best english players around today if he had opted to start regularly at a smaller club instead of warming the bench for Chelsea and Man City.

If the point is to enjoy match days, get a manager in who lets the team play football and see what happens. It's a very fair point. I think (just about) that Pardew deserves the chance to see if he can produce enough enjoyable moments for us this season. The season before last, there were plenty even though people had reservations about the underlying style.
Ikon
Personally i think he deserves to be sacked for his unacceptable and clueless management. Pathetic.

I think you are overrating Sinclair anyway, but he hasn't wasted that much time. Just this last season, really. He was an (expensive) youth player at Chelsea and was playing consistently at lower levels throughout his time at that club. It's easy to blame his club history, but I think he is an above average forward player, but ntohing more than that.

Personally I'd prefer a flying trickster to another Gouffran type but beggars can't be choosers.
AyeDubbleYoo
Hard to know the truth about Sinclair... he has missed an important part of his development. I would still go for him at this point though, for sure.

I would still go for him at this point though, for sure. I always look at it as in are they better than the players we have currently, with him, out of 3 seemingly starting widemen he is probably better than 2 therefore get him in if the deal isn't a rip off.
