Mole_Toonfan
Thought this worth sharing; 'according to Mark Douglas (The Journal) the vibes from the club are that they aren't even trying to make progress on any sort of transfers' If true, Kinner more bothered about making his own position safe and it would seem that all of our business, was done last January. Desperate. That's not what he said. He said he didn't know who was in charge of signing off the transfers. I think its fairly clear we're in the market for a striker. I don't think he has a clue like everyone else and just guessing tbh. But it wouldn't surprise me if we buy no one
captainhaircut
Who gives a shit what Mark Douglas thinks. He claims to have all these sources but all his did in January was regurgitate the French media. He said flat out we wouldn't sign Ba, knew nothing of Marveaux, nothing of Cisse. He's held up as some sort of oracle but he's no better than Ryder. He just writes his shit in a slightly more eloquent way. At least Ryder is a fan and actually cares. He gets nothing from the club and is relying on word of mouth from agents etc. I wouldn't worry about anything Douglas says.
Disco
If the club aren't interested in transfers why did they hire a bloke to look after transfers? To isolate the unwanted manager.
BONTEMPI
Think we can forget about getting quality in. Fuck em all, pathetic cunts.
Ronaldo
I wouldn't be bothered if we didn't need about 4 quality players to have a decent season.
Stuy_O
Ashley has absolutely no intention of spending. If they really wanted Remy/Bent/Gomis/Gignac one of them would of been here by now. I'm no expert in these matters but it really can't take that long to contact a club and make them an offer, wether or not JFK was on fucking holiday is totally irrelevant. I doubt we've bid for a single player yet. Kinnear's director of football job title is just something to make him look official, when actually everyone know's he is here to smoke Pardew out, however long it takes. BeloEmre
Probably Giggs, but i just saw that Graeme Bailey said that we are keen on a striker in Eastern Europe. That must be Brown Ideye?
Deuce
Probably Giggs, but i just saw that Graeme Bailey said that we are keen on a striker in Eastern Europe. That must be Brown Ideye? Probably Shevchenko. From the grave.

I think we are interested in maybe 1 striker but you have to question the dragging of heels when everyone of them is available for transfer and it's been known for a relatively long amount of time. No doubt it'll be because we need to save 20p by using 2nd class stamps or something.
Stuy_O
Aye, all available yet we'll wait till the very end to get 'the best possible deal' and if it doesn't come off well then the club saves money anyway. So frustrating.

sempuki
In recent times, which newcastle transfer window would you say was the most frustrating? The one when we only got Bowyer on a free or this one.
alexf
This one. Then last summer. Then the Sir Bob one where we got like Bowyer on a free instead of kicking on.
AyeDubbleYoo
In recent times, which newcastle transfer window would you say was the most frustrating? The one when we only got Bowyer on a free or this one. Bowyer for me, although this one has the potential to be awful it still has time to be OK as well. The Anita one was a missed opportunity as well.

Stuy_O
This one and last years without doubt. That Bowyer one was bad but we were relying on Champ League qualification imo. If we'd gone through to the group stages we'd have seen more players.
Ameritoon
Summer before relegation was pretty terrible, up there with these past two.
Incognito
Summer before relegation was pretty terrible, up there with these past two. Nah, Keegan was here and he had brought in Colo, Jonas and Bassong.Nowhere near the Bowyer summer or last summer.
Ronaldo
Keegan had nowt to do with recruitment that summer. It was a horrible summer given how badly we needed players.
Mole_Toonfan
That summer wasn't that bad tbh and i was quite positive about it before Keegan left. It was all the ridiculous decisions that were made after that that was awful.

Stifler
I just wish they would do something. JFK is a joke, spent a few weeks of his job out of the area speaking to staff members on the phone, went on holiday, and has been back for a week and a half now and done nothing to bring anyone in.
