It is a smokescreen to cover his reputation as he trys to get a move elsewhere. My opinion by the way. But this opinion seems to be based on absolutely nothing. So what, man. I knew how that would sound but they were going to use it anyway off the internet and just wanted me to send the original to see if the quality would be better. It had already been in the papers and the internet so isn't as bad as it sounds. Nah I know, just found it funny. I am pissed off with the whole issue but any other club would have sorted this out by now, it dragging on just harms the club. They can't really do anything, if he point blank refuses to wear anything with the Wonga logo on it then surely he will be breaking his contract ? He is not an idiot he knows dam well the club will not cannot do anything about the sponsorship deal but he had support from the Muslim community but not the casino image is out he is losing that support. Don't forget the third party involved who are currently "consulting and meeting with experienced people within football used to dealing with equality issues who are also members of the Muslim faith".
