Adrian Mariappa stays at Watford

Recommended Posts

Glad we've not pandered to them. If we value him at somewhere between £1m-£2m, which sounds about right for a good Championship centre-back, then we shouldn't go any higher. It's clearly unsettled the player so i can see Watford taking it, rather than leaving it, come 11pm.

Quite confident we'll get him now.

Could at least wait until we are in talks Otter

But I wanted to do the joke before I go out.

We won't get him.

We made our final offer in the morning, it was turned down: what is it supposed to happen now? Watford call us after some hours and ask us if we still want him?  :idiot2:

Watford determined to hang on to Adrian Mariappa despite interest from #NUFC @BBCSport The player rejected move to Wigan #WAFC

Eh?  They accepted a transfer from Wigan just a few hours ago, showed that they were happy to get rid then.

BBC are saying it's likely that we'll get him if we can agree personal terms.

Most media outlets saying we are favourites, only because Wigan have pulled out.

Given that he's turned down one offer, I think he must be pretty confident there's an offer on its way, if it hasn't already been shown to his agent to reject Wigan.
