Sumlin fans taking umbrage because Di Matteo dared to say that Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"We are bigger than them, Wev'e won more league titles than them. Its league titles that matter etc etc"

Most of their league titles were won in the 1800's if I'm not mistaken.

"League trophy's are what matter."

That is their new tagline, even though 3 of theirs were won in the 19th century, and the last being won in the 1930's.

tbf, their town hasn't changed beyond all recognition in the same timespan, easy to see where the confusion could arise.

By their bizarre logic, the now long-defunct clubs which cleaned up the cup competitions in Victorian times are 'bigger' than the likes of QPR or Chelsea. Perhaps Old Etonians or Wanderers have their own embittered version of RTG, refusing to move into the 20th century, clinging to their inherent big-ness and class.

The best one was when someone translated something from Spanish and someone else came along..

"Look at me, look at me, I'm bilingual.  Pathetic."

Is the culture in Sunderland basically to look down on anyone with an inch of culture, talent, skill or knowledge?
