 That's an even better place to use it, "No evidence at all to suggest Sessegnon would score more goals than Shola if he plays for Sunderland for the next decade, pure guesswork on your part".

Funny thing is he'll probably be away in the summer anyway.

Couldn't resist a look on that mindfuck of a forum.

It is with a stout heart and proud disposition that we allow Mr O'Neill to take us within his thrall. That our entire ethos and ideology can be summoned by such a newcomer should warm the cockles of all favourable to the mackem nation. The despair of late goals at the hands of our enemies and of yet more 'honest mistakes' from our 'even handed' masters in the black shirts has been juxtaposed with the delirious heights of the defeats of giants and the dawn of new heroes.

For they are one and have been intertwinned since the glorious birth of mackemdom. That we are a club who shun the grey middling conformity of the Thatcherite mag, and aim for the stars or the sewers, for ours is a quest that can only be seen in absolute terms. Either we prevail and stand proudly a top our enemies corpses, or we sink with our cause into nothingness.

For we aspire, that is what seperates us from the mag. We dream and we believe. In the the man we currently entrust to safeguard our institution we have a fellow dreamer. Maybe he can make our dreams come true too.

Just seen this on Simon Bird's Twitter:

Simon Bird ‏ @simonbirdmirror

RT @MirrorFootball: #nufc fans: @simonbirdmirror's weekly column is here and it's about the genius of Hatem Ben Arfa http://bit.ly/HR1vGf

8h Chris Phillips ‏ @ChrisPhillips_

@simonbirdmirror what about the genius of Stephane Sessegnon? Come on Simon got to go two ways mate!

Simon Bird ‏ @simonbirdmirror Close

@ChrisPhillips_ the clue is in the column's name: the newcastle column. Bosses don't want a sunderland one (all about web hits apparently)

Tbf it's like a bunch of smart Mackems (I'm sure they exist somewhere) picking on Christmas Tree.

Although the (precious) few Mackem posters on that board are conspicuous in their absence in the face of that initial post made by Midds showing their respective stats.

Why do they even bother arguing? It's not like he'll be in a Sunderland shirt at the beginning of next season is it?

I'd happily go along with them and say Sessegnon is miles better, just so I could repeatedly bring out the fact however good he is he wont be there.

Holy shit Batman.

But age is not important in this respect. We are talking about the here and now. I think Afra is a good player, but i think Sess is a player who could bring certain teams the title. If he'd been playing for City instead of Silva for the past three months they would have won the title . Big stakes.

Sessiongooujoun was tipped for "greatness" by the ESPN press pass panel.

Good player, though.

He certainly is a really good player. Not as good as the Mackems think he is though.

And probably not there after the summer.

As much as they keep saying that Ashley will cash in on our decent players, they seem to forget all about selling Bent and Henderson, and Kenwynne Jones before them, at the first flash of big money, and the same will no doubt happen with Sessegnon and David Charlton.

But of course, its just our owner who sell the clubs best players for silly money.
