Why stop with Llorente? Why not get Muniain too? I'm sure he's dying to play for Sunderland as well.

I'd bet a pretty large amount of money that MON hasn't even heard of Spain, let alone Llorente.

why the hell are they watching our friendlies? I can only just about justify myself watching it. Couldn't even imagine sitting and watching a Sunderland pre-season game.

Probably because they're sad, envious and utterly bitter bastards...or something like that.

“It was a really great season. And of course that’s something that we want to emulate.

“I think it sets a healthy benchmark and we have to rise to it, it’s as simple as that.

“Newcastle did exceptionally well, and that is something we should aspire to – and I’m sure we do.

That'll go down well.

Really great season?

Meaning us, not them. As if their limp to a mid-table finish could be considered 'really great'

Aye but if you remove the bruce factor, add the marty factor then remove our lucky start, progessive mid season and lucky run in.  Sunderlnad had a mint season.

"I always come back to the way Barcelona play,” said O’Neill when asked what he would like his Sunderland team to represent. “It’s a long way in the future, but you’d love to keep that in the back of your mind and think you could eventually have a team that could come out and play like that"

Goood luck marty, the wolves are getting worried already.  Lose that first derby game of the season and they will be feasting on your flesh.
