Blackburn Rovers vs. Newcastle United - 01/02/12 @ 8pm - Pre-match thread

Really hope we dont play the ridiculus 4-2-3-1 s****.

I like it.

You like 5-2 defeats and 1-0 defeats with our only half decent striker on the left, and the most immobile striker in the world in 50 yards of space on his own?

Nice straw man, it wasn't the system per se that lost us those games.

It would be a decent system to play if we had the players to play it.

HBA in CM according to radio newc

Interesting. Perhaps it's a role behind a front 2?

That wouldnt be CM though would it? Maybe it will be a midfield 4 of...

Raylor/Obertan----Guthrie----Barfa---Jonas

Far more lively midfield which could help behind the turgid Strola.

Shola and Simpson must have photos of Pards lighting up a fat one and shagging Ashley's daughter.

Pleased otherwise, though. Glad Ryan Taylor is in there to deliver crosses, hope Ferguson is on the bench too.

Looking at the players selected for midfield, Raylor's the most likely to play CM really.

The change to 4-2-3-1 won us the match against QPR and it was the same formation that saw us comfortably dominate the first half at Craven Cottage. Any issues are the players's mental state and performance. Nothing to do with formation.

Nothing to do with playing the same formation that we've played for a year which has got us to joint 5th, then randomly switching everyones positions mid game?

Krul, Simpson, Williamson, Colo, Santon, Raylor, HBA, Guthrie, Jonas, Shola, Best.

Nice!

I reckon it will be Barfa in the middle like. Maybe in the hole. Quite happy to see Raylor start...Chance from freekicks and some decent delivery into the box.

Come on Shola fuckin put a shift in tonight eh.
