Chrisjraby
Why is it we have to try and jeopardise the position we're in by sending in a shitty offer like that?! Just cough up the extra 2 bloody million for christ's sake.
Ketsbaia
Its one thing to start with a low bid, its another to make it offensively low. £4m, man

Just cough up the extra 2 bloody million for christ's sake. A club will probably always reject the first offer, unless it's an insane one. If our first offer was 6 mill, it's likely that Lille would have declined that one too.

Just cough up the extra 2 bloody million for christ's sake. how does it jeopardise the position ? if anything it unsettles the player and we may get him cheaper. also seems interesting that we make a bid when it's unlikely we'd be able to immediatly negotiate with the player, wink wink. Cajun
Why don't some people understand the concept of negotiation? Offer half what they want then it seems a good offer to meet somewhere in the middle.

Its the same people complaining as a few pages back when we first had this talk of a bid as if its brand new info

In fact better if we add a 10-20% premium to the asking price so that we come out smelling roses!
oldtype
We should all know well enough at this point to trust the club's ability to negotiate transfer fees. If we're not willing to pay more than a certain amount, it's probably because it's not in the best interest of the club. They've earned some benefit of the doubt. Ted Maul
Fucking hell man, the Daily Fail is an absolute joke. Look at the 'Most Read News' bit as well, it's got an article about the overly-attached girlfriend meme ffs. Don't think I can even bring myself to find it funny anymore. The Fail gives everything AIDS.
Hanshithispantz
If Sky are correct and Lille want near £6m then our next bid will probably come close to their valuations. I cannot really see what's so laughably bad about this bid.
