Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis

He looked a bit of an allrounder to me. Obviously small sample but wouldn't like us to pigeonhole him as a defensive midfielder.

To be fair on the little I've seen his strongest attributes seem to be tackling, staying cool under pressure and playing a simple ball forward to people in space, which pretty much makes him a good prospect for a defensive midfield position.

Aye that's what I thought on today's showing, but the Cov fans all said he looked better for them when he was allowed to get forward and that his passing range was excellent.

Fair enough. Time will tell. Looks a good prospect either way!

Looked a good prospect, certainly worth a million quid. First time I've seen him play but was impressed and considering he's only 18 he's only going to get better. Got a bit of bottle and didn't appear to have any nerves which bodes well.

Only one game but he looks like a rough diamond. Let's see where he is in 2 years time.  :aww:

Is he fast? does he pose a threat in the air? Strong on the ball?

Seems reasonably fast and quite strong for his age and size. I don't think he will ever be an effective threat in the air though, but he is a combative, tenacious little player who keeps a team ticking over by keeping possession (likes to play the simple ball instead of the Hollywood cross). You know who he reminds me off actually in the way he played today: Vurnon Anita!

soz if Giggs.

I haven't seen Gael with a miserable face yet - he doesn't stop smiling! He looks like Cheick, but their facial expressions are the complete opposite! So we've got happy Cheicky and serious Cheicky here!

Only caught the first half, but he looked great I thought.  Very impressed by how casual he was on the ball.  I thought Abeid did well, but he seemed to panic a lot when under pressure and didn't seem as assured as Bigi.

Mainly just played it simple, but even under pressure he would get his passes off and actually played it with a bit of pace to try and keep the tempo up.  Made a crunching man and ball tackle as well and got about the pitch well.

So far, so good.

Remember, he looks to be more like Yaya Toure than Michael Essien, without having seen him play...

Not going to lie, had a cheeky little wank over Bigi last night.

Thought he was tremendous. Got stuck in, sprayed the ball around well, close control was lovely, was composed on the ball like he had all the time in the world, love to see more of this in the upcoming friendlies.

Amalfitano looked like he was trying too hard to impress and nothing was really coming off for him. Can see he has ability just needs a bit of time to settle down and get comfortable in the team.

So many players at his age have the talent but lack the mentality. At such a crucial stage of development they made bad decisions, gain an ego and discover nightlife.

Bigi - as a highly religious kid - shouldn't fall into that trap. I think we have a real prospect here.

Woodman seems a complete legend

Loving Tiote-lite already.

Aye, Woodman is class  Off topic, but I really hope nufctv does the backroom battles this season as well, really liked them last season.
