Unfortunately we live in a world where having long black hair and running around a lot makes you undroppable.

:D

It's true that Jonas doesn't add much to our flow or buildup play. He does make a significant defensive contribution though. I would think we should play the Tiote-Anita  Cabaye trio in games where we want to boss possession and then play Jonas against the bigger clubs.

See. This is what´s wrong here. Everyone is happy if a player is running around and then hoof it long and hard. How can anyone be happy with that?

I think we just have to be honest about the fact that when we come up against the big clubs like the Manchesters, Chelsea and Arsenal we don't have a squad that can outplay them.

Or West Brom.

Starting the game at RB helped him when he moved into midfield imo. Had he started in the middle, he might have got overwhelmed those first 10-15 minutes when they had a real go at us. The fact that he "warmed up" for the game playing fullback then switching to midfield - rather than coming on as a sub as well - allowed him to keep his composure for the rest of it.

Thought he looked more settled yesterday best he has played in CM since we signed him.

Aye, looks a lot more settled in that defensive role where he can sit deep and keep it simple, feeling a lot better about him as cover for Tiote after that performance.

Think Tiote really is hampering his settlement. Tiote is used to that 4-4-2 formation where he really is the active midfield defender, covers alot of ground imposing himself. He just might run too much for Anita to be secure about his positioning at times.

If we play with a 3 man midfield, it would open so many options for us, but the three in the middle have alot of learning to do in that department to get the best out of eachother.
