I mean Jacob Murphy was dogshit under the previous regime and now he's en route to a Ballon D'or. I'll give a pass to any player from that period of time who wasn't overtly cunty or in the pocket of the shite managers/owners.

Anita-Colback midfield paring was dark days

Did we ever see a midfield trio of...

Anita - Colback - Bigirimana?

That would've been a sight to behold.

He is getting some unjust stick on here. He was a decent player in the wrong side. Everything he wanted to do our players were generally half a move behind. Wasn't ever gonna have the physicality though.

Completely agree, didn’t have enough strengths to be a top player but in the right side and with the right management he’d have been a reliable option. He was a tidy footballer, just physically limited and no particular weapons other than a plentiful bottom

No he was terrible. Third worst player to have earned a salary over £20k for us after Rivière and Hendrick

What a lot of bollocks

Alan Smith

Amdy Faye

Jean Alain Boumsong

Dan Gosling

Jack Colback

Florian Thauvin

Remy Cabella

Henri Saivet

Matz Sels

Without even thinking for more than a minute. There'll be another two or three dozen before Anita even comes into the mix.

Well, I must say that I'm very impressed that a thread about a painfully average player from one of the darkest eras in our recent history has managed to stay at the top of the forum for nearly a week and has provided some great laughs!

Just think of all the fun we'll have in the DeAndre Yedlin thread when he retires!
